Perhaps if the PHL ticket agents were not so busy being rude to customers they could have had time to decorate and celebrate the merger.

I flew US/West this week 3 times and each experience was outstanding. The ticket agents smile and say, thank you. The gate agents smile. The FAs in FC were very friendly and attentive. Thanked me for being such a frequent flyer--some sort of code shows up on their manifest also--she knew I was a US VFF. I don't think glassware is necessary (although it is odd to be served a drink in a real glass). I do like the larger plastic cups on US/West and I like the Dr. Pepper selections. The food is better, too. However, no snack basket which I hope they keep.

I will say, however, that when I got on all the planes, I thought, wow, US/East and US/West will get along great--their planes are filfthy. And, when we arrived PHX, no gate was available--deja vu.

Still, Mr. Parker has done something right. The employees are friendly and they seem to get along pretty well. Rampers laughing with FA's--yeah, that happens in PHL all the time. Also, everyone works hard to keep the flight on-time.
