Thanks to the distrust and the Airbus farm out issue the Mechanics will not voluntarily be part of any future plans.

Pitguy:

You might be right, which is why the company is probably making alternative plans for maintenance work and why Bronner said the restructuring will go forward "with or without employees."

I agree with your thoughts and since the IAM will probably not cut a deal, Bronner will seek to move the Pittsburgh maintenance facility to an undesirble location and then after filing for bankruptcy seek a S.1113 motion against the IAM.

All you do is look into the tealeaves.

For someone who portrays himself as a man of virtue you sure continue to piss off co-workers on a daily basis.

You can file all the motions you won't a contract has not been abrogated in the Airline industry since Lorenzo, that is why 1113 was enacted.

And something else to think about is we all ready have a signed 1113 letter!

Bruce Lakefield commented in today’s employee message that “we must work together as a team.â€￾ He used a superb example of a submarine that has sprung a leak and everyone must work as a team to solve the problem. Airways’ has a leak and it is imperative that each employee work together as a cohesive team to protect the franchise. This is the same message that I have stated to a few of my IAM friends. I truly believe that the majority of the labor groups will see the light and understand that a partnership is a winning approach for everyone. We must forget about the past and move forward to the future.

Sprung a leak, you say??? I find that truly hilarious. Well, maybe Bronner can fis it "with or without the employees".

Teams don't steal from other players.

You have to make amends for all your wrongs before anyone will even work with you, besides trust you.

You want a team, bring the four Airbii out of ST MAE@BFM, let our mechanics overhaul them as our contract states and pay the damages.

By the way, you have no IAM friends.

How can we forget the past when the past still resides with the likes of you and your cohorts?

You have to remember your past so you don't repeat the same mistakes in the future.

The only thing Bronner has done is change the conductor, the music and the orchestra is still the same.

By now hawk you are getting the picture, HIT THE ROAD along with all your other cohorts that reek of lies and deception BEFORE anything is even listened to and until then the IAM will tell you to kiss off!

That makes good business sense. No wonder this airline is going down in flames.

Cav:

I'm not trying to upset anybody, but simply trying to point out the facts because I believe some people are so blinded by their anger that they may not see straight.

Do you think I like my 40% pay cut, the 50% loss of my pension, higher medical premiums, commuting, commuting expenses, or the further downsizing of PIT where I live?

Nobody likes what is happening and every day I see a superb job done by our employees, but that job is not making us profitable as revenue continues to be under pressure.

Last Monday I flew a ferry flight from ONT to LAX and had nearly a 16-hour duty day. That day I saw unbelievable support from United employees at ONT, the ONT airport authority, and then upon arrival US Airways mechanics in LAX.

We lost an overpressure mechanical fuel valve that caused fuel to transfer from the left to the center to the right tank on an A321, which caused a very serious in-flight emergency and upon landing LAX maintenance did an outstanding job trouble shooting the problem and repairing the aircraft.

Then on Wednesday in Charlotte our Utility people did the best job I have ever witnessed cleaning the aircraft. The IAM represented employee folded every seat belt, used Windex on the walls, scrubbed both galleys, and then cleaned the cockpit all during a 1-hour turnaround. The guy did a tremendous job!

But, ya know what, regardless of the excellent job our employees did this week, which I witnessed, or you and I do day in and day out, the fact is the company cannot afford to pay the current work force what we desire.

The fundamental and cyclical economic issues are killing ever legacy carrier and either we collectively adjust or we fail. I strongly believe we should all negotiate the best deals possible and then if the accords our unacceptable, then seek other employment. It will only benefit our competition -- who would like to see us fail -- if we burn the place down to the ground.

Hawk is right on with his comments and we need to work together to find solutions to our problems.

Moreover, it's better to have a job while seeking a job because of pay, benefits, and travel privileges; as well as not facing the risk of a S.1113 action following a bankruptcy filing.

Respectfully,

USA320Pilot
