Us Airways Collective Bargaining Agreement Update

Once again the ibt supporters fail to respond to legitimate questions asked as they know they are wrong.

Is that who you want to represent you?

Think long and hard.
The Company will observe the following holidays in 2006:
· New Year's Day: Monday, Jan. 2
· Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: Monday, Jan. 16
· Memorial Day: Monday, May 29
· Independence Day: Tuesday, July 4
· Labor Day: Monday, Sept. 4
· Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, Nov. 23
· Christmas Day: Monday, Dec. 25
Non-contract employees who are active on January 1, 2006, will also receive two (2) floating holidays. In some operational workgroups covered by the America West Employee Handbook, employees may elect to have the two floating holidays paid out. President’s Day, Monday, Feb. 20, 2006 and Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 9, 2006 will be the holidays observed for this pay out. Accrual and use of floating holidays is explained in greater detail in the Employee Handbook (for pre-merger America West employees) and the US Airways Corporate Policy Manual (for pre-merger US Airways employees).

This Is From IBT Contract Policies That Were Negotiated Year's Ago Then Accepted FOR AWA Company Wide Benifit's. This Is What You Could Expect From Teamster's In ACTION. VISIBLE SIGN's Not Just TALK,AND GLOATING about all The Previous MERGER's. ME

US Airways Mechanic and Related Collective Bargaining Agreement

“The Truth about Decertificationâ€

The Teamsters are saying this is a scare tactic; it is the National Mediation Board (NMB) rule.

If 50% plus one of the eligible employees do not participate in an election there will be no Union on US Airways or America West. Eligible employees include all active and furloughed employees of both airlines in the craft and class.

Recently the Stores Clerks on Allegheny and Piedmont were decertified and they are both now non-represented as a result of lack of participation in the representation election process. But don’t take our word for it; when AMFA was raiding the IBT on Continental Airlines the following is what the IBT told the Mechanics on Continental.

“Don’t Sign a Cardâ€

"Signing a card would leave you without Union representation under the Railway Labor Act if an election were to take place and fewer than 50% plus one of the Continental Mechanic and Related employees voted you could end up without any Union representation. Without a Union, you could be at the mercy of Continental Management."

“These are the Teamsters own words – not oursâ€

When comparing the number of eligible employees on US Airways and America West a decertification is more likely now than it was on Continental.

We do AGREE with the Teamsters on one issue.

The best way to avoid a DECERTIFICATION is DON’T SIGN a CARD
Use you noodle Dude! HP's crappy contract is still .71 cents an hour more, full pay everyday for sick leave, time and a half and double time. all of our vacation. and they are negotiating a contract to step over your broken contract few times higher.

So let go of the machismo with the IAM talk and stick to the FACTS.
you will never see the IBT walk the floor with Management or remove shop stewards because of to many grievances filed on a shift. we know who all our shop stewards are. we have a couple on every shift evryday.
when we call our Local they show up to answer questions not DICTATE to us how to behave. our shop stewards dont keep a contract on their computer the IBT prints it out and gives one to each member like it should, not mention its a Federal law.
