Twice daily flights PHL-TLV starting in July, the rumors are coming true.

No, the 330-300 doesn't have the range to make the trip. You may see a 777 on it at some point in the future.

This is great news.

That fancypants Doug Parker and his gang of upstarts better realize they can't get away with this without eliciting a devastating 'competitive response' from you-know-who.

 LINK?  SOURCES?

The July schedule for US is pretty much settled.  Pilots and flight attendanst have bid and been awarded all the July flying.

July starts in 10 days.  It seems quite unrealistic that US would start such afdditional service on such late notice.  There's hardly enough time to sell the seats!

I am not familiar with how AA starts new service, but 10 days notice seems a bit disingenuous.

Does US or AA happen to have TWO A330s or 777s hanging around with nothing else to do in July?

OAG.

*US PHL-TLV JUL 1.0>2 AUG 1.0>2 SEP 1.0>2

But are the schedules loaded?  I searched a few days end of July on usairways.com and only see the one daily roundtrip (796 and 797).

MIA would be better, PHL is a dump of an airport even in the newer international A gates.

Who cares what you think, if MIA-TLV was such a great money maker, someone would be flying it, LY pulled out and no one else has served the route.

Do you ever produce anything constructive?? If the determination on where to place Hubs was based on the "beauty" of the airport, ORD, MIA, LAX and JFK should all be de-hubbed.
And now for something meaningful to this thread.
It appears the 2nd OAG PHL-TLV flight was a duplicate of the original due to the integration process.

z  he will never ever ever produce anything but negativity   heck he cant even have a word in on the us forum following the ta   but nonetheless he is a huge anti US and anti IAM  yet he allegedly works at JP  which is a hell of a fraudulent company

It's too bad that so many here can't stick to the topic.

Rumours are that OAG is in error - no new PHL-TLV flight.

This July?   nycbusdriver is right - not enough time to staff or sell tickets for a new flight if it starts in July.   Next July (2015)?   Maybe, but with 3/4 of the passengers on the present flight connecting, and PHL accounting for about 3% of the TLV O&D, why would you start a second flight that would be completely full of connecting passengers?   Why not start a new flight from a city with heavier O&D?
