Perhaps management should get off their fat cat asses in the SandCastle and see how things REALLY are on their airline. No token visits, no pre-planned flights where everything is in place, but see what the flying public sees and experiences. See what the employees have to deal with on a daily basis.

Oh wait, that would require some effort and it would show they actually care about how things operate.

Another thing I’m wondering about is why the NEF (Never Ever Fixed / Not Essential to Flight) Hotline has apparently been shut down. I guess Tempe has now given the front line folks the same treatment as the high-yield customers.

Does he have to pay for drinks when he flies to PHL? It's a long flight from PHX, that may be a good way to make some extra money for the company. A couple trips a year with DP on board, cha ching!

I just got back from a RT to EWR to walk a show. On the mainline legs, I did make $2 contributions to DSGPF... Doug & Scott Golden Parachute Fund! I told the FA this on both flights and both got a real charge out of it!

Flew a 757 yesterday for the first time in a long time. First thing we all noticed as we were boarding in rows 1-2 was the video monitor above with no frame around it, and cardboard duct taped on the bottom and sides. the FC flight attendant dropped it down to view and started laughing and turned around to us and said 'as long as the engines work'. Then one by one the other FA's as they came up, did a double take and started laughing and shaking their heads when they saw it. Then one said, 'oh well, they're taking them out anyway'.

Another humerous event.....they were trying to push us back from the gate in CLT and the captain came on and apologized for the delay, they couldn't unplug us from airport power. Too bad they don't make really really long extension cords....that would help with the fuel prices, no?

Aside from the monitor, that plane has seen better days, very dirty. FC flight attendant was great, attentive and always smiling.
