And the A350 order (not surprisingly) has been dumped. I suspect AA worked a deal to commit to additional Airbus narrow bodies. This was pretty much what Parker wanted with US Airways to have Boeing wide bodies and Airbus narrow bodies, but both manufacturers offered preferred rates ONLY if it was a package deal with both narrow and wide body planes. Given the number of A320 family series in the US fleet, the Company agreed to accept the A350s to get better deals.
