A Solidified Group?  When Brothers and Sisters STOP selling each other out for more money, Then we will become one.  YEARS Ago, when my Class II station got sold out by the Class I Cities for more money is when it all began.  Sadly, we will never be as one and the company knows it.

That isnt true, in 92 M&R stuck together, in 99 we did again with the help and great support of our fleet brothers and sisters.

After the IBT raid, the M&R house was divided, I can say now, that the enemies are now friends and united in getting a fair CBA from US.

Dont sell yourself short, this is a different time and age and you all deserve the best CBA in the industry.

Hey Tim just saw your thread start on the UAL page dated Dec 17. Not a single response???? WOW! Talk about lonely. Doesn't bode well for that campaign of yours if you can't even get a nibble on that hook, lol.

Well keep at it man. You have nothing more to lose I guess.
I wouldn't read too much into that. The UA board has never really been that busy...

The membership indeed must take ownership of what they agree to and ultimately ratify. If not; they are subject to being led to slaughter by their own lack of engagement, education and short sightedness. They are left to suffer the consequences of their lack of engagement and education. Left to grind their teeth and blame everyone but themselves.
Yes!

Nice. I like that. What I tell people is that I'll teach you how to fight and then fight alongside of you. I'm not here to wipe your nose or tie your shoes for you. That's what your mommy is for. Not me.
Yes!

Management does consider the members as dogs. Dogs who have been repeatedly played. Dogs who have a history of self centered and shortsighted voting on contracts. Dogs who look only at hourly wage and sell out scope and the rest of the CBA language. Dogs, whose leadership in many cases, seems to be only concerned about dues flowDogs; who if thrown a piece of meat while gaurding the house, allow the intruder to rob the house of all of it's meaningful possesions. Until this group starts changing things we are destined to be treated in this manner. No Respect from management? Absolutely! Untli we start acting like an educated, engaged and solidified group; we will continue to earn none from management.
And yes!

Hope can you tell me more about this and the details of what a Class 2 city is?

Weaasles, what city do you work in and are you mainline or A/E.   CB what's the mood in CLT about the strike? Think the guy's will support it?

Class II would be cities with small dept schedule, not sure of the number but ex would be chs, rno, sat, abq and so on focus cities are dca, lga, bos smaller than hubs.

Of the 34 stations, most are class 2 stations. The difference is that non covered employees can do up to 25% of the work in class two stations. It takes a big leap, bigger than in the sAA contract, to become a class 1 station.

700 I know we got the raises in 09 10 and 11   I do not think we got it in 2012   I do know that a grievance was filed based on how it is written in the contract  but I don't know the status of it         as for class 2 cities  the departures has to go below 28 flights a week for a yr then it can be outsourced.

I'm in MIA AA Fleet. We don't have any different class cities. AE is also represented by the TWU though. Alright so it was my understanding that at one point these class 2 cities made less pay than a class 1 city? And when you talk about non covered employees do you mean that "ready reserve" garbage? Is this what the member meant when he said that they were sold out by the Hub members?

weaasles at one time the class 2 cities had top rate of 15 an hr  and the hubs were topped at or around 20ish

I'm guessing that that's changed now? Did they always work at a lower rate? And I do agree with COLA's in certain cities if it doesn't mean a regression backwards though. NYC of course should have the highest COLA rate.

If I remember correctly, the number was 90 weekly departures. If you had less than 90, you were classified as a class II city.  Newark  (88 weekly departures) was a class II city paid much less than our hubs and LGA.  The Company added a few cities such as BDL right before the contract vote.  Funny thing was the contract was voted down by over 90% in the class II cities but because the Hubs and Class I stations were going to make $5 more per hour, it was a shoe in.   Interesting FACT, is that most Class II cities were very Senior and the Hubs had many very Junior Employees, so they didnt care about anything but the money.
