This thread has officially become useless for any actual information.If I gave a **** about IAM politics I'd be in heaven.

And you wonder why management slaps you in the face for three years in negotiations.

They know if they jerk you off long enough election season will come along,you'll all get caught up in the kabuki theater that comes with it and focus goes out the window.

I can see JCBA negotiations taking a **** in a hat because of this tail chasing.

NYer, this thing has to play out.  The IAM leaders are telling members that there will be no single carrier until the IAM says so.  You can point out documents and contracts but it really doesn't matter, folks choose to believe what they want to believe. Is there any more to say about this?

People are turning against him and his "theories" are not based on anything except rhetoric. Facing that, they need to focus attention away.

The IAM members in the audience may want to know where there dues are going. The chart above shows how son's, sister's, best men, etc all have been given 6 figure jobs by Buffy as you pay for it.  That may be fine to some folks, but nepotism is seen in poor taste with most members.  Proud to say that our biggest locals in IAM141 have voted 7-1 against Buffenbarger.  IAH delivered yesterday as expected.  Of course, the reality is that Jay Cronk has a tough road ahead of him to win the presidency, but I'm proud to say that the Biggest locals in our district understood the realities that this union is at the crossroads as concessionary bargaining is frowned upon.

I agree that the chart doesn't look good in the eyes of the membership. I just don't understand why you posted it now and it hasn't bothered you till you hooked up with KA for this election. Anyway, maybe there should be a political thread, but I doubt many would participate except josh and yourself. The LL are where the politics should be fought.

The difference is approval by the membership.

Personally i dont care if buffenbarger gives his son a $160;000 job if the members elect him, but giving sons and sisters $150,000 jobs by appointment and forcing the members to flip the huge bill is just not right imo.
