Timmy, I didn't like your style and was against you until everything you said came true and you stood strong. But I want to say a few things without you going nuts on me.  Myself and my United brothers and sisters know that you are what we need and that you have the leadership that I haven't seen from anyone else.  Everyone who is currently in office are nothing more than fill ins and lack most of everything that is needed to lead.
But you have to play politics brother. You need to have more compassion on your own American people because they won't see through the bs until it's too late. You have to do a better job of understanding that instead of calling them out and talking down to them.  Brother, we have your back at United so I think you will be fine, but do yourself a favor and show some compassion, and give your own people some space to breathe.
I appreciate your support brother and your comments.

Thats mighty big of you Nyer !!!!   come on now ....hows about you throw a release party ? After all it would benefit you and us 2 yrs from now ! We could also wear bags over our heads with our "Handles " printed on the front.....except for Tim of course......!

It may not benefit us if the IAM doesn't get a deal before Sept. 2015. We have a wage adjuster in which we are immediately given a raise to the average wage earned at United, Delta and US Airways.

You have been on here "educating members about the legal timeliness" as you see it. It has been noted. It must also be duly noted, your posts, are your interpretations and opinions and may or may not be the end result. Let's let the legal teams from both parties sort it out. In the meantime, it would be in our best interest to support the NC on what we charged them to do. That is; gain meaningful improvements to our current BK contract in Section 6 negotiations. Then, and only then, we enter in to JCBA negotiations. IMO... this remains the position of the vast majority of the membership. All we need is a release!
Lock and Load!
The legal timelines are real, has nothing to do with how I see it.  The single carrier date is real.  Yes?  The arbitrator date for resolution is real.  Yes?  And the Association is not real, as far as being recognized by the NMB.  Correct?   And the IAM leadership, itself, has put a timeline on stand alone talks by explicitly saying it will only negotiate stand alone until a NMB single carrier determination.  That puts the current talks at a close sometime around September.  I fully realize that the IAM can change that stance and continue stand alone past a single carrier, but the IAM itself made the statement saying otherwise.

Who knows about a release, but the timeline for a release can not possibly be after the next 60 days. The NMB has never issued a release, ever, after a single carrier has been filed.  I fully realize that some are saying that the TWU will violate its contract and drag things out in courts, indefinitely, to get the NMB to buy time for a release, but....Really?   I can't disprove that line of thinking, but I find it entirely unlikely and even outside the realm of logic that the NMB would reward a union for intentional violations of a contract.

While I'm uncomfortable agreeing with your position that a release can not happen, your opinion starts becoming more and more valid if we get to May and still no release.  I will only go as far to say, there will be no release granted if it hasn't been granted prior to June 9 [which is probably really june 7 since June 10 is past the deadline of the MOU].  Also, imo, we will be in joint talks this fall, as the IAM has said it will only negotiate in stand alone talks until the NMB rules on a single carrier.

What do you care Josh. Listen get back to work. If you're on here then you're not working on my 401K growth. I'm contacting your supervisor.

OK. Ask yourself. Why would a release be granted in June when this whole issue for the NMB could be put to rest after a SCS filing in that same month?

The SCS is to be filed, the IAM elections are ended and the notice would be that you need to vote for a TA because it would be your only opportunity to at least get the wages up to AA levels before going into another set of negotiations.

No release. There is ZERO reason for the NMB to even consider it at this time.

Is Karen still a member in good standing?

there is also ZERO reason for the US side to be working walmart wages in Asia while AA folks make more to do the same exact thing we do too    Theres no excuse for the filthy rotten jackasses in Tempe/DFW cant give us minimum what AA is with enhanced scope.   Its time for the NMB to release us or the f..kers to give us a fair and equitable contract

NYer, this thing has to play out.  The IAM leaders are telling members that there will be no single carrier until the IAM says so.  You can point out documents and contracts but it really doesn't matter, folks choose to believe what they want to believe. Is there any more to say about this?
