It is absolutely unacceptable that negotiations have gone on this far without a contract and we still have nothing. All I have heard are false promises.

Being that we are the strongest and most powerful we will ever be as a union group it is time to take a stand which is why I would like to voice my support for entire Unified For Change slate in particular Artie Valdez in Phoenix.
Maybe they need to understand the RLA.

We went four and a half years with M&R from 1995 till the end of 1999 and we voted one TA down.

See the problem is you and your twisted way of thinking of blaming the union for everything, when the company is the cause of the problem.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Gee and I thought you had me on ignore timmy.

"Concession Stand is Closed"

That campaign promise stirred an election for 141 Rising. The truth is our contact language has been inked in vagueness and implemented (or not) with contradiction.
...
Fundamentally the contract language,in terms of trade-offs, is pervasive in concessions. Any incumbent touting this as monumental has fallen into a false consciousness.

The ability and experience to improve existing language for solutions to the merged airlines would seem the path our leadership would move on. Instead, it seems they have removed strong language and have imposed sacrifices on members without clear interpretation of process or consequences. This has subjected many to inconsistencies of work rules and worse discipline.

They have attempted to taint our democratic process. They involve themselves in social media under fake profiles to denigrate and slander those who oppose their views or present a challenging question. This is not becoming of an officer, nor a leader that I foresee to unite the membership and move forward.

I endorse United for Change team.

The change we want begins with our involvement. Please get out and vote.

No, I am not getting information from AH, and no I am not making it up.  Yes, I am getting it from someone in a position to know.  That's all I will say and you aren't baiting me to tell you if he is on the committee or not, as that certainly will root him out.  Yes, he is playing his cards right and, no he isn't a big Delaney fan. Like I said,  prepare for a specific highlight sheet because our members want to know.  They can decide if it is good enough for them.  You can also put out a highlight sheet as well or better yet, just have the union put out the last proposal.  You and I both know what is on the table and the dopey installment plan merging the wage into AMR wage in 2015 is weak.  Our members want to know, and they are going to find out.

Tim let me get something straight here? If you are in the know and are saying that you will be brought up to our wages more than likely the day we do the industry averaging, you don't find that acceptable?

That would potentially be a $4.00 per hour increase from where you are today in less than a year and a half. Basically somewhere around a 20% base increase.

If that would not be acceptable to you then I really have to ask what is?

700 is a company boy, AMFAinMIAMI said so and I agree.

Yet you defend the company and defend the process saying US IAM members have "only" been stuck with a bankruptcy agreement for nine years.

tim,

What about your boys from PHX and PHL? Wouldn't they be considered "unskilled" also. Cripes, neither of them have ever done ANY grievance work at all. And your asking us to vote for them because they are "good" guys. Come on man.
Why do you presume they never did any grievance work?  They have helped members in grievances, they just weren't the type of guys to seek credit or titles.  They have their work cut out for them but they have a better skillset going in than the ones that could be leaving.  They have distinct advantages going in over the current candidates as well, as neither of them are known to be with management, as Fairbanks, Simmons, and Rezler have become.

We also have an opportunity to refocus on grievance handling.  Instead of it being the norm to cut deals with management by signing mutual consent forms with AH to waive off practically all time limits,  that will be the exception with the new team unless a member consented.  The days of cutting deals like Simmons does all the time over grievances, then withdrawing them without advising anyone, will be gone.  It's not right that our members in PHL have to find out about their grievances from management as Gill is more interested spending a great deal of his time in ATL away from the airport.

Me and you differ, that's all.  I understand that but I think our members believe 6 years of nothing is enough and are willing to stop tossing more chips on the losing hand they already know they have in their hand.

First off, your wage blows. Over 40,000 rampers in this industry are under a compensation scale CURRENTLY offering a top out of over $24.  Nothing against TWU because I knew they negotiated that in bankruptcy but why would I want to saddle our membership in another bankrupt contract?   For me, the wage only became an issue when I found out they waived scope enhancements and may actually give AH more flight activity.  I maintained that I could understand our members being accepting of $23.30 if scope was enhanced.   But it wasn't.    At any rate, that's my opinion and I happen to think that most US AIRWAYS members don't want to get paid one less penny than the AMR wage at date of signing.  Why play games and wait 1.5 years for the last installment raise?  I'm against that but maybe a majority doesn't mind.  Time will tell, that's all.

And don't forget, this wage increase goes back to 2012.  So, it isn't like we got a 15% pay raise for one year.  More like 4 increases of 3% back to 2012 if it comes down to that.  Sorry, that's not good enough for me when comparing wages.

Ok that's fine. So you're expecting at the very least a snapback to what "supposedly" would have been the base wages had neither of our companies went through BK in the past? Am I correct? What would you assume that should be? $30 maybe perhaps?

As much as all of us would like, the company is not going to blow it's entire load all in one shot. Like I've said before BOTH sides are going to want carrots on the stick to get us all to come to the table to give them the synergy they want for a JCBA.

Just my two cents bro but you better be very careful what you have in front of you to read before you decide yes or no. Section 6 or not let's not forget about Amtrack and the 7 year wait.

Tim,

You are invited to PHX for every meeting I set up with any and all local managers and I will let you tell everyone how I interact with them. I guess if you keep saying it over and over it is true? Like I said, come to any or all meetings I have with management or stfu.

You need to go tell TR to knock it off with the no-layoff plan substituting for scope as well. And, please, no meeting AH halfway on scope concessions.  56 means 56, not 84 or 98.
He is going backwards when him and delaney should have grandfathered all current stations. These guys are killing our craft over the last 6 years. Killing it.  Cripes, our bankrupt contract is looking better than what these dopes are dicking around with.
Tim,

I don't know where you are getting your information but you are not accurate. A release is possible still or more dates. I would love to see your term sheet.
