It is true that a primary is different than an election, primary nominations endorsements are quite telling in at least 2 ways.ograc said:I wouldn't read too much into nomination endorsements Tim. They have been a false indicator in the past. Voter turnout will be the key. The level of apathy will be the key. The 70% who voted yes to the POS UA agreement will be the key. If UNFC is voted in it will be on the anticipated wave of dissention on the UA side. This should not be confused with, or interpreted as a ringing endorsement for the 3 US Candidates. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. In order to get yourself and the 2 other popular candidates elected on the US side of the ballot... You want the UA dissention! You need the UA dissention!
1. They tell us about a candidate. A candidate who can't get his own home endorsement from his home local, and those that know him best, should be noted to the entire membership.
2. Although none of us can be absolutely certain how this election will turn out, the slate that won at least 5 out of 7 United hubs has always won. In this case, unifiedforchange has won 7 out of 7 United hubs, and in dominating fashion. The nomination per capita of unifiedforchange represented 86% of the membership, the highest on record. Of course, it still comes down to getting out the vote.
