Prez,
An impasse either existed in the Union leadership brain ONLY, or you were all being intellectually dishonest.  The reality of the situation is that there was no impasse. PERIOD.  It is you who have misdefined it blabbing in the presse, "We are at an impasse".  You weren't!  Period!   You even begged the NMB to rule for a release but it never agreed with you that there was an impasse.  At the end of the day, the NMB was right because although you guys lied by saying to the membership you were drawing the line in the sand over 6 bare minimum items, you guys caved and moved towards Ole AH who has been whipping you guys from day one.  Sorry to say but you guys just don't have the necessary skill set or academic background to approach the situation.   I understand that you are unaware that when you showed movement on 2 items, that you clumsily tossed out any idea of an impasse, whether real or myth.
At any rate, the progress reported by Delaney, and Baskett explicitly saying 'there may be an announcement if such progress continued this week" is far far far away from impasse verbage.   Like I said, as we approach June, release talk will be goosed.  And that was the reality.

Wiki is suppose to follow up with me in detail, but he did say that the reason why nobody is meeting the next two weeks is because of the FLL conference, and because of a personal vacation that one of the negotiators above District Prez wanted to go on.  Hopefully, wiki can get me the full update on this week's talks.
Tim,

Not that a degree is needed to do this job but I have stated before that I have a degree from Arizona State University. Regarding the possibility of a release, kindly look at 700's post a couple of pages ago and look at the chart. The next step is a proffer of arbitration, PERIOD. If we can't get a contract that is the next step, LP does not hand the duties to anybody else. There is no other step if she can't get us to a cba.

I will not vote to bring a cba to this membership if I don't think that it would be ratified by 90% plus of the membership. I will not spin or lie, nor have I ever spinned or lied, to get that 90% plus ratification vote either. I am a straight forward guy who always has the membership in mind when I do anything in my leadership capacity. Take that to the bank.

I have said before that I am not perfect and have made mistakes in the past and will probably make them in the future too. I am a fighter and love having the ability to make a positive difference for my co-workers and believe that I have had numerous achievements that have made a difference over the years.

tim,

being an organizer is miles away from being an agc, paid or not. Just because you could do one job, doesn't translate that you would be able to do the other.
Organizing and Representation are two different arms in a union. You are absolutely right.  But Director of Organizing is a leadership position that shows a person's leadership skill set and putting together productive teams.  I only mentioned it because WeAAsles seemed to suggest that there was no productive history with me in a union job. Big difference between being an organizer, as you say, and someone who led an organizing team, and developed the plan, as Mr Delaney ascribed to me in the article mentioned a few post ago.

You've become too close to management.   You don't think so, so we disagree.

As far as a release. The chart is correct but to go from movement that 'could lead to an announcement' back to more release jabber will clearly show that you guys are on spin cycle.  You gonna flip every other week, Pat?   I've read the last few updates along with everyone else, and you guys had such a positive spin on things that practically everyone thought you guys would get a TA this week.
So, when you going to fire up the release talk again?  C'mon man, you guys are picking flower pedals and if the last one left for the week says release then I guess you guys will flip again.  Can't wait till June! And I mean for the election.  Cuz a release and an impasse isn't happening now. Especially with the single carrier now upon us or resolved by July 9.

Kindly share with us anytime in the history of the NMB where a impasse was approved after a single carrier was determined?

I did not suggest that at all Tim. I've even stated numerous times that I heard you were a pretty good organizer. What I said was that I believed you were more concerned with being PAID rather than doing the job.

I hope that clears up your confusion?

Joseph Conway - DEN - RAMP

To All My IAM Brother & Sisters,

My name is Joseph Conway; I have worked for United Airlines (DEN) as a ramp serviceperson for nearly 16 years.
I have known Chris Coffman for 15 years and I know he is motivated and knowledgeable about all issues of the contract.

He is the type of person that is continually there for the employees, not just when he wants something f...rom you.
Chris Coffman has personally represented me when the company was trying to violate the contract, and each and every time has turned out in my favor, thanks to his knowledge and persistence. He has continuously given me answers to my questions even when it meant researching it and getting back with me. He is one of the most dependable & honest men I know.

There is no question Chris Coffman has the employees’ best interest in mind & will help to lead us down the right path in the years to come.

Thank you for taking the time to read my endorsement for Chris Coffman who is running for Vice President At-Large (Two Year Term) and with this endorsement I would also urge you to support the entire UNIFIED FOR CHANGE team.

In closing I prevail on all my IAM brothers and sisters to please come out and vote, we can see what the current regime has done for us; let’s let them know we demand a Change.

In Solidarity

Joseph Conway

I've spent more time unpaid than paid. 3 times a local chairman, unpaid. Even when I supported Delaney in 2008, I didn't put myself on the ballot and waited for a staff opening the following year at a reduced salary because I wanted to clean up the IAM's horrific organizing.

Why don't you question tim on how Dough, Gerry and Al will just cower down to him and give him everything he says fleet deserves?

You got owned by them and ran away with your tail between your legs!

Keep up the lies, you and tim certainly have a mancrush and bromance.

Keep up the lies, no union would agree to layoff 50% of the workforce, why don't you criticize AMFA?

Tim  correct me if Im wrong.. but it does not seem long ago you were saying we should have more US folks on the IAM team  now theres a UAL guy    Tell me  what good will a UA person do for US folks  other than selling us down the river without the anchors and life jackets?

tim,

So now we are to support your ticket from a campaign letter written by somebody at UA? Have someone from US write a letter on how artie or carl wrote a winning grievance for them, then maybe I'll listen. All the more reason the two airline's votes should be seperated. But then you couldn't ride UA's coat tails to get elected.

Tim,

Have you heard the saying "a leopard can't change it's spots?"
Tim,

I am what I am and I invite you to any or all meetings with any management person and you will see fight not a closeness to management. The offer is anytime. What do you say? You can talk all you want but the truth is there, come on down.

P. Rez

robbed,

because it suits tim's agenda to give two spots that "should" be US spots to UA for votes to get elected. It has nothing to do with competence, it's all about getting elected.
