Do you need someone to hold your hand and read you the definition of "neutral"?  You still have no idea what "implicit assumption" means.   I would recommend you master the latter before you attempt the former.
So "neutral" means the West agreed to DOH, waived all rights to the Nic. (Even though ZERO waiver language exists in the MOU) and just ignore the statements that emphatically denied any sli relevance what so ever? I don't think its unreasonable to "implicitly assume" that the Lawyer you pay, isn't flat out lying to your face about his true intentions. Only in the USAPA universe is that something that someone would attempt to defended.

So, according to you, you'll be fine if Silver enforces the Nic via the TA right? Because by definition, "neutral" cuts both ways? Something tells me your version of " neutral" only exists if your terroristic list of demands are met. Your "union" is so "neutral" it hasn't left the presence of a Fededal Courtroom since it's birth. Is that a sign of their willingness to be truly neutral?

Whatever. This time next year all you East guys will be flying left seat wide bodies after you kicked out all the American guys. Once they realize how important and special you are, you'll all be in like Flynn!!

If the Honorable Judge Silver even thinks of getting involved in union business, she will learn a lot about labor laws via another trip through the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Yea god forbid you have anyone with an ounce of integrity in the union.  Maybe we should just let you and management run the show.    You are some piece of work!

Mr, Parker already stood up in front of a america west pilots PHX meeting and said the west was flying one quarter of their flights on East routes.

Amen , my point exactly! I lost a lot respect for DAVE C. when he quit the job under MIKE C, same with ERIC J, when he left the PHL rep job bottom line those positions you take , especially elected ones should be fulfilled to term! You accept a position as a rep see it thru, quitting not an option!  The compass correction boys, don't get me started! Admitting they were wrong, nice, but hey still some of us left that never had it wrong!
Or maybe you get out of a position because you dont want to be complicit in illegal/immoral activities!  But I know you wouldn't know anything about that.  Typical politician make speeches about how stand up you are and then make back room deals.  You can not hold a candle to the guys you mentioned

If THAT is your idea of integrity, it's no wonder we have such a division within the pilot group. Left up to him there would be NO merger, NO MOU, NO vote. He even put on a pointless 40 minute presentation at USAPA on why we should pay for another law suit to try to recover scope language that had EXPIRED in the contract with a date on it.
I don't trust management nor most of the USAPA reps. But I ESPECIALLY don't trust D.C. after the mess he made during the NIC arbitration (straight DOH or NOTHING...we got our second choice). You must be a Brookman fan also...

A US Airways pilot was arrested after a hotel security guard said the tip of one of his fingers was sliced off when the pilot slammed the room door.

Fredric J. Ahern, 58, of Hockessin, Del., was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, according to a booking report.

Let's add the latest.....A Ponzi scheme

A Statesville man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in connection with a $44 million Ponzi scheme that defrauded more than 200 people, federal authorities said Thursday.

Daniel Harold Williford, 55, was indicted Wednesday on one count of securities fraud, one count of wire fraud and five counts of money laundering. The indictment also includes a forfeiture notice seeking a monetary judgment of $44 million.

Let me make it simple: You rip people off, you get indicted, U.S. Attorney Anne Tompkins said in a statement.

One Charlotte man told the Observer that he gave $25,000 to Williford in 2007, with the understanding that hed receive $30,000 in three months. As recently as a few months ago, he said Williford still was promising to pay him $100,000 on his original investment.

He says he lost $20,000 overall, money that wiped out his savings and threw him into credit card and other types of debt from which hes still digging out.

Looking back, he was just so slick, said the investor, who asked that his name not be used so people all over Charlotte dont know how stupid I am.

Dan always had an answer. The money was in escrow or it was with the lawyer or it was coming next week. Now I wonder why I ever believed him over all those years. But you reach the point where youre asking yourself, What can I do?

According to allegations in the federal indictment, Williford induced more than 200 investors in Charlotte and elsewhere to invest more than $44 million between January 2007 and July. He promised them their money would be invested in wireless Internet equipment, Internet towers and other facilities and companies, according to the indictment.

More than 100 investors lost $20 million, the indictment stated. Williford only invested $7.7 million of the $44 million he raised, and he used the rest to support his scheme and his lifestyle, the indictment said. It said he induced victims to invest in Velocenet, Broadband Leasing, Connect Inc. and related entities he controlled.

In one example included in the indictment, Williford persuaded a client to invest $123,000 in 2007, supposedly to underwrite one of Willifords companies in Boone. Instead he routed the money through four of his other business accounts, then used most of it to pay himself and other investors.

According to the indictment, that process was repeated again and again. In all, Williford used 72 percent of his investments, $32 million in all, to make Ponzi payments to other investors or loan payments to banks.

Willifords promise of quick and large returns spread from friend to friend and family member to family member, the Charlotte investor told the Observer.

For years, Daniel Williford swindled hundreds of people, including his own co-workers, out of their hard-earned money, said John Strong, special agent in charge of the FBI in North Carolina, whose agency investigated the case.

If convicted, Williford faces up to 20 years in prison for each of the securities and wire fraud counts, and up to 10 years in prison for each of the money laundering counts.

Williford pushed wireless Internet early on. A 2002 story in the Observer detailed how Williford had started Velocenet to bring the service to Statesville, Charlotte and the surrounding area. He said he planned to install wireless hot spots in malls, retail centers, even car shops and a local newspaper, and had started to meet with potential partners to raise needed capital.

In addition to the penalties announced Thursday by Tompkins, records indicate that Williford personally owes the Internal Revenue Service some $155,000 while his companies have unpaid judgments of $1.5 million. Researcher Maria David contributed

Comment from Jimmy King
He got me in 2007 for $125,000. And yes he kept promising that I would get the money. Five of my friends had given him money and got paid but when the market turned I got stuck. He is an evil man to have kept stealing for people over the years. Dan being a USAirways pilot pulled me in to trust him....big mistake. I hope he goes to jail for a long time. One more thing, If he paid back $32m to investors for the ponzi where did the other $12m go?? He makes good money as a Captain with USAirways and needs another $12m to survive? I hope the FBI finds some of the $12m to pay us back.

There seems to be a pattern when you add the arrests and convictions for tax evasion, upskirt photos, assaults, discharge of a firearm in the cockpit and an investigation for an unsolved murder.

When you add the assault in the association office it seems like normal behavior for union thugs filing false RICO charges against the pilots they claim to represent.

I'm ready for the embarrassment starting in 2005 to end.
