Poor USAPA, the Rodney Dangerfield of unionism. They get no respect.

I've often said the same thing. I'm so junior ( crazy how 10 yrs is still jr) that it doesnt even matter anymore. Sadly tho, we did arbitration 7 years ago and look what that got us. EAST pilots have no integrity. They are an embarrassment to our industry.
Lets get on with this merger. Build a great airline. Lets build a pilot group that's capable of taking back our profession from greedy managers (not leaders), like Parker/Kirby.
I knew you would be too stupid to understand what he said.
I'll say it again for him. "The nic and AWA are not the same"
The NIC was imposed on each group. The East and the West. The West did not create the NIC.
I'll say it again turtle...The west....did not......create....the NIC. A federal arbitrator did. God I hope your wife has someone else on the side, cause your even starting to annoy me, and I've been able to bit my tongue for 6 years reading your dribble

None of us will have any problem with separate operations for another 20 years.

there you have it folks, usapa's douche-baggery distilled down to one sentence. Quite a thing to be happy and proud about there Purple, speaks volumes.
Your joy over a broken contract and the damage done over the years to east and west pilots and their families turns my gut. You and your ilk disgust me.

That is one of my biggest problems with USAPA. They only listen to a select few. If you were hired post AWA/US, you don't matter to our local "leadership"just give 'em all your money.

Those guys were days from furlough. The east list was furloughed to over 40%, that's damn near half its pilots. In a merger that's based on RELATIVE slotting the operative word here RELATIVE, those pilots were placed in the same spots they held on the USAIR east list. The proposal you make is that these people get elevated all the way up to captains at the expense of the west pilots that had much brighter futures AND better career expectations. I know you like to forget that the west was hiring right up to the week of the merger while the east was furloughing.
The amazing thing about the east is they cry about windfalls but its seems to be ok for them to get them. I think you really need to take a long look at yourself Relay. This mess has benefited you at the expense of west pilots and that my friend is called a windfall. Hypocrite is the next word that comes to mind.

Are you saying you believe the East should get a larger percentage of wide body opportunities then they bring ?
If so, it would seem expecting to capitalize on that in the AA SLI would be giving you the same windfall that you used as a rationalization for USAPA's reneging on the binding arbitration in the AWA SLI. The desire to cling to the UAL/CAL model seems to be the seeking of a better opportunity for USAPA to water down the AA list due to LOS/Longevity and thus capture more bang for their buck. If DOH isn't an option, then that would make a good plan B, no?

It is fascinating really...you mention USAPA, and the rest of the industry wants to vomit, and they question the "nefarious" intent of others?
Priceless, really!
