DFR proof. East pilots may attempt to raise funds and file a DFR lawsuit...but how will they make a serious claim that the process used to develop the Nic wasn't approved by all parties and created by a neutral using extensive evidence and testimony?
I would surmise that if the east filed a DFR it would be over the MB process being properly applied, not the ALPA process. You are stuck in 2007.

If I were a west pilot I would be very upset that I now don't have any direct representation on the NAC.
Is this a scheme to set up another lawsuit? Resign and Whine that USAPA didn't represent me??
Taken to it's illogical extreme, maybe the west BPR members and the entirety of the west membership should resign from USAPA so they can claim a DFR due to no representation.
Sheesh, those grapes are sour.
I don't think the West reps want to hear the whine line....it's not fair! It's not fair! It's not fair! View attachment 9986

The APA should have tissues, aspirin, pacifiers and earplugs at the ready.

Oh brother, here we go again. The chest pounders from the West are again counting the days the East gets "***** slapped".  Go **** yourselves scabs we already won no matter what happens now.

DOH/LOS makes our Reserve NB Captains senior to their WB Blockholding Captains.

That  ain't going to happan no matter what type of fence we propose.
Disagree,  especially if you apply tall fences, most of those N/B captains you speak of will be long retired, restricted to only bid equipment you brought, the pilots at AA have rights to their equipment large or small, same as the West and East!

You're wrong, I can hold NB Reserve Captain, I've got 9 years left and there are a lot of guys my age.

DOH/LOS would make me a middle 767 Captain blockholder in Miami.

Doug is not going to run 3 different operations just to keep you happy and the American pilots don't want NB or base fences.

Previously furloughed APA pilots can easily point to an airline that was coming out of bankruptcy with plans of hiring...regardless of which POR the boards & judge approved.

“Good afternoon, this is CA John Hale with the Flight Department Hotline for Friday, June 1.

Let me speak straight – our current term sheet calls for about 400 pilots to be furloughed in 2012, so there is some job loss in the near-term associated with the plan.

USAPA will be gone by that time, so it will need to be east pilots contributing to a legal fund VS APA...good luck with that one! And what will be the basis of their DFR...that APA allowed an arbitration to be held? I know...the idea of a neutral deciding one's fate disturbs you.

The little west socialists feel the minority rules in this country.
Go goat boy. AWA hired the best!
Yeah...let's let the APA decide the value of an east pilot's seniority that was furloughed from a twice-bankrupt airline with the only alternative to merging as going Chapter 7 and liquidating. APA majority may just put all of the 1988 hired furloughees behind their recently recalled...majority rule make it right!

I believe that by the time AMR agreed to make the merger its official POR rather than Horton's "stand-alone" plan, the furloughees were all back.

In February 2013, American Airlines and US Airways announced plans to merge, creating, by some measurements, the largest airline in the world.

05/02/13

"APA was notified this week that the junior-most pilot on furlough has been offered recall. The furloughs began on Oct. 1, 2001 and culminated with more than 2,900 pilots on furloughthe largest number of pilots ever furloughed by a single carrier at one time. Currently, more than 1,200 pilots have deferred recall and remain on furlough status."

Here's the story, right there under oath. It's the majority taking advantage of the minority. Courtney, in his early 40's, works a couple of years, furloughed "resumed" in 2007. Chairman of the furlough committee, huh.

East recalls, West furloughs. Taking care of their own.

The only way we drag the truth out of boys like this is in court.

I, COURTNEY BORMAN, declare that the following is true and correct:
1. I make this declaration of my own free will, based on my personal, firsthand
knowledge, unless otherwise specifically indicated.
2. This declaration is made in support of USAPAs opposition to the
Addington defendants motion for class certification.
3. I am currently a First Officer and have been employed by US Airways as
a Pilot since 1999, furloughed in 2002 and resumed again in 2007. I am currently a
member in good standing with USAPA.
4. I am currently the Chairman of the USAPA Furlough Committee

We haven't won anything. We can't even get a protocol agreement out of the APA.

In the event any west pilot is upset with the list delivered on March 9, 2014, they can blame the two that resigned from the merger committee. Never give up! (and they did)
They didn't give up. It was a shrewd move on their part as we're about to find out.
