I thought about visiting Barcelona today out of Philly. I noticed it's much easier taking a flight out of Miami.

If you ever get the chance, stay at the Le Meridien, take a walk along La Rambla to the Columbus memorial.

Another idiotic post. The east managers closed the LAS base. Really? Really?

Who has been running this dog and pony show since 2005. Oh, that's right, Doug and Scott. Those moves were economic and they put the airplanes where they could make the most money. Period.
Ed Bular has been Senior Vice President for Flight Operations & Inflight of US Airways Group, Inc. since October 2006. Mr. Bular continues to oversee the airline's flight operations department and expands his responsibilities to include inflight services. He has been with US Airways since 1980 & started as a Pilot based in Pittsburgh. He began his aviation career in the Air Force and flew T-37s, T-38s, T-33s, A-7s, B-52s and KC-135s. He hired on as a line pilot with ...

Silly me..I'm sure Ed had no influence on decisions that were made.

Ed did what they told him to do. No more, no less.
Merely a puppet like the rest.

"Ed Bular will help the new American coordinate efforts to get a single operating certificate, then leave the airline."

Why would there be a need to train another puppet when they already have one?

😉

"You'se" necessarily now, are one or more of the following, since no other explanations are even at all possible for this latest utter nonsense or yours:

1) An infantile, incurably narcissistic, village idiot that somehow can imagine a grandiose and malevolent, multi-million-dollar-company-crusade-conspiracy against your sorry lot, as if "you'se" were even worth such, and that corporate decisions to close domiciles would ever be at all based on such. I've precious little respect for team tempe, but they're not complete fools.
2) Wholly delusional as to how the power structure works here (or perhaps really anywhere, outside of Fantasyland/"sparta").
3)  Just too plain stupid for words, or at least adamantly pretending to be so...Period.

Just print up some more T-shirts, heroically roar out a few dozen more "this is Sparta!"s, buy a nearly $700 dollar "heroic" tie or two, or more/who cares really, and do whatever it takes to make "you'se" selves feel better, if any of that'd help at all, and thanks as always for the predictable laughs. 😉

I'll leave it the APA to put you in your place.

No surprise there. "You'se" fools have been imagining magical help from everyone, everywhere, (literally including "the rest of the world"/"the rest of the industry") or from anyone even at all remotely involved, for literally YEARS now. First it was your first-name-basis "friend doug" that was going to beat up all the other mean kids that wouldn't let uncle nic hand your gift to "you'se", then it's been every courtroom imaginable, and now Blanche Dubois?..."You'se" are depending again on the kindess of strangers. How truly pathetic all of this has been to see. One has no choice but to just sit back and laugh at mighty "sparta" and "you'se" amazing set of fantasies. 😉

That ANY even carbon-based-life-forms could actually fantasize the APA to hold their definably competing interests near and dear is an indictiment against the very concept of supposedly sentient beings even existing anywhere inside PHX/"sparta".

A waste of time and opportunity sir. I say we just hit the after-Awards parties, and leave the "spartans" to pout, continue to stick out their mighty tongues, and tell each other how much they really, really matter to the APA, or to anyone else but themselves. 😉

Eastus....you are a gift to the US Aviation forums. A true legend in someone's mind

The Military Type A. This flight deck officer stands up straight even when at ease, maintains a stern countenance and is only comfortable when hes barking out orders. If hes not a captain, he will upgrade at the first chance, often eschewing a quality line in the right seat so he can sit in the left. If his company mandates the wearing of hats, you can bet his is low and tight on his head, per regulations exactly. Hes almost certainly carrying a firearm, ready at a moments notice to defend his aircraft. You could cut through glass with the crease in his uniform shirt. Rumor has it theres a reward offered if you ever catch him smiling. I flew with one once who complained about having to wear a uniform instead of his old military flight suit.

Standard briefing: A 15-minute detailed monologue encompassing every aspect of standard operating procedures outlined by the company.

Flight bag: Covered with USAF and union stickers. If he flies a widebody jet, he may also display equipment stickers. (B-767, B-737)
