I think AAviator is either playing dumb or being disengenous. The MOU clearly stipulates that all previous agreements are null and void. But even with the MOU momentarily aside, the implementation of the Nic was clearly dependent on an LCC JCBA. I suppose the APA can arrange to have the east/west pilots have a mini JCBA. If and when that is ratified with the Nic in Section 22, then we can put this all behind us and begin the maxi JCBA.

May take awhile so we better get crackin.
We're trying, you guys won't come to the table.    😀

I have a better idea, lets can the MOU.  You guys can back to your $125/hr with a 10% 401K.  We'll figure out how to integrate you after a SLI.  Oh yea, we'll vote to bring the West onto the new contract in the mean time...

I said you guys don't want agreement… You didn't deny that did you Piedmont..?

Whistling Dixie is a slang term that means "unrealistic fantasizing".

Oh, I wish I was in the land of cotton,
Old times there are not forgotten,
Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land.

In Dixie Land, where I was born in,
early on one frosty mornin',
Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land.

I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie Land I'll take my stand
to live and die in Dixie.
Away, away, away down south in Dixie.
Away, away, away down south in Dixie

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The parallels are fitting with that Charlotte based association and the song above.
"The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the traitor, up with the star;
While we rally round the flag, boys, rally once again,
Shouting the battle cry of freedom!"

Hopefully one day we'll be united east/west/south/north in one union and will be free of tyranny.

Since when is a Seniority list an agreement? If the MOU killed the NIC,  it also killed your DOH. It is very specific, right?

Seniority lists are always part of an agreement. Section 22. Section 13 I believe in the APA agreement. The Nic is indeed gone. As well as the East and West CBA's. We are governed now my the MOU and MTA until we ratify a new JCBA...

If this was B.S., then why did you post it?

I started out by saying it was a hypothetical scenario to see how you think the APA most likely
respond to a situation like that. It's obvious you will never answer the question. You continue to deflect the issue. Either you really cannot comprehend contract language, or you're just playing dumb. It sucks when you know how you would answer, but realize you cannot because that would mean you understand and agree...

Unless to really care to carry on a logical debate and answer my post, I am done playing this game with you. I replied in response to your questions and you continue to ignore mine. That's fine, as you pointed out this is the internet and you can pretend to be anyone you want.... Have a great evening...

Do you want the company to abandon the code sharing we gave them and the change of control, with it's tax advantages?

Good to see that good old pilot arrogance is alive and well.

You want to be United, now?  I'll bet Continental would gladly trade!

Seriously, I hope it happens for you.  I won't see it since I will be allowing all but a few hundred of you to move up a number before you are "united."

But "free of tyranny"?  Fuggedaboudit.

How poetic..  How arrogant is the USAPA an their followers?

Sure, I'll take the LBFO 2 we ratified along with out 7+ billion in the bank, and ALL of the old AA growth.  No problem..  You guys had 1.4 billion in obligations due this year.  We will probably just scratch a check for all of it.  You're welcome.  How did that awesome DCA hub hold up??  West coast growth?  Kirby:  "We will grow LAX".  Well duh….

Take me to that point of time where LCC wasn't in the picture and AA pilots would reap all the rewards of the future growth and retirements.  Throw me in that briar patch..

You pose a "staple" or "date of hire" based on financial bench marks.

Non starter.  Will not even be considered.

I believe you are wrong in your assessment of where the NIC stands in your above quoted print.

'Can' the MOU and COC is back on the table - won't happen. And we absolutely do want agreement. The problem is, until we reach agreement, we can't be considered part of the same union. You can find that concept in the law. We also don't want delay. It's been 100 days since POR. Let get the arbitrators and do this. Stop waiting for the NMB to rescue you.

Well AAshole, see if you can work all that out. You seem to be the odd man out amongst your peers with this merger. I hope you are one of the AA 5%.

There are modern day examples of people in large groups doing stupid things such as the vote today in Crimea by ethnic Russians to break away from the Ukraine. Putin is leading them to a path of isolation to further his objectives of a new Soviet style union.

The world sees this vote as illegal.

Just like USAPA being voted in and leading to nowhere and not respected by actual unions such as the APA.

Ukraine crisis: Russia isolated in UN Crimea vote

"Crimea's regional parliament instigated the secession referendum after MPs voted overwhelmingly to support rejoining Russia.

But the national parliament in Kiev ruled the referendum unconstitutional, and earlier on Saturday voted to disband the regional assembly.

At the United Nations, 13 members of the Security Council backed a resolution that called for all nations to respect Ukraine's territorial integrity and condemned the referendum as illegal."

To steal a phrase from Captain Silverman: "My money is on Vladimir Putin!"
