Seems to me there is an inordinate amount of 757's OTS lately, 14 at the moment. How many have we had go through Timco so far? Coincidence or not?

These airplanes are getting worked on everywhere now, seats one place, overhaul at another. It's no wonder.

I wonder if AA management gets bonuses for having ideas?

Not for if the ideas actually work, but just for having them!

If your idea doesn't work, you can lie about it at the meetings which are so beloved by management.

And in between the outsourced OH visits they are being worked by the lowest paid, worst compensated mechanics in the industry that are looking at at least six more years under the worst contract in the industry. Hope is gone. So while Delta, United, Southwest and others may be able to get away with dumping their aircraft in these places because their line guys will clean up the mess there isnt the same motivation at AA. Line guys simply show up and will do so until something better comes along. AA got everything they wanted!! Now they have to live with it.
