<_< Curty----- Since when do'es Airlines use MIL-H-5606? Most us Skydrol, which makes 5606 look, and teast, like red soda pop!!!!!Where you been boy? Not working on big airplanes!!!! 😛

I would take a little skydrol over my office tan anyday. 😀

I got skydrol on my face once in pit heavy....its something I NEVER want to happen again. I would rather light myself on fire than have that again.

Former mechanic.Traded in the tool box for a brief case.

Here is another issue that I have become aware of.

We have had people in PIT , INT and CLT whom a M&R people whom have applied for Voluntary Furlough , Only to be rejected for the option.

In two of the three known cases...the persons , Job or Duty Station is set to be abolished in its entirity.

U is trying to save money..but has denied VF to three very senior people in jobs that are about to be abolished.

The CLT case is shakey...as openings are available to accomodate this person for the moment..but what happened to saving money by releasing a senior person that would like to leave to retain a lower paid junior person?

The PIT case is semi-understandable as openings are availabe to accomodate this person as well..but what about saving money by releasing a senior employee whom would like to leave under acceptable terms to him/her in favor of retaining a lower paid junior one?

The INT case is just insane...this is a very very senior person who's job and duty station are going away for good..but VF is denied as CLT is a two hour away option to retain this person. Maybe CLT being two hours away is not a viable option for this person? So why create torment ...and save a job for someone junior and lower paid? Wouldn't all parties be better served and remain happier in the end?

The IAM needs to start pushing these issues...as Mechanics and Utility are not the only ones paying dues every two weeks. Both the Union and the company need to figure out whats best in terms of representation of the unionized few...and what best serves the supposed need to save money for the so-called greater good.

The bids come across the printer in the grievance office in clt whenever they are active, which in turn the commitee posts them on the wall. They could very easily be scanned and posted on the pit site if someone wanted to do the work and make it happen. But thats not part of your dues package anyway. They are way to busy working on more givebacks and paycuts!    And acting like rover the lapdog puppy's they are working on the next big BONE for their members!! 🙁

DR, heres a novel idea, why dont you do it? It's more than obvious you have the knowledge and the expertise, besides if it didnt matter to you whether they were posted or not you would have never said anything about it.

Midnight,

I see your intelligent repsonse, the person in M&E used to send the PIT Local's Webmaster the information, that person has left the company and no one in M&E sends the info.

Why don't you call LL 1976 and actually find out what happened?

I asked LL 1976's President and that is what he informed me of during Negotiations.

And no the CLT local has never posted the bids and awards.

Well spanky, the bids ARE sent to the greivance office, that is where the shop stewards pick them up and post's them on the boards. Remember the union is to check all bids and awards? Make sure that it's done right? Even if they are not sent over, it would take about 2 min, tops, to walk over to M&E and back. But then old timmy would have to put down his coffee and newspaper.
Call LL 1976? Hell i can see their door from my tool box. I ve been there. You get a "what the F__K do you want look" just walking in the door. As for the President, as my name implies, I work line midnight shift, and you never see uncle frankie, unless it's re-election time.
You remind me of another lav dumper, who upgraded to stocking shelves, who thinks he knows what's best for the mechanic's.
