During BK perceding the union agreed to scale back their wages for 7 years . Is this right?

Is this agreement binding with the merger ?

If it is binding on the merger does that mean that when 7 years is up the unionized members of usairways "west" will benefit from this agreement or only the covered employees of usairways east will ?

Can't speak for anyone but the East pilots, but the concessionary agreement modified and extended the underlying contract. So when the new amendable date comes, everything will be up for negotiation like always. Without the agreement in front of me, I don't recall any provisions that would call for any "snapback" to pre-existing pay, benefits, etc, that was or will be triggered automatically. So in that sense, there is nothing to be "shared" with the West pilots - any gains will be negotiated in a joint contract.

The fleet service concessionary contract has a snap back provision in the case of a change in control (that the company is fighting). All will benefit eventually including the West. I don't understand why the West is not under our contract right now. In any case when all is said and done the West stands to get one heck of a raise!

The CWA contract has a snp back change of control also but our wonderful reps gave it away for a dollar an hour raise ....but come 12/31/11 we do snap back to our original contract...gee I cant wait...only 4ys 6mos and 16 days..If this airline is still around by then

Mechanic and Related also have the change of control which is going to arbitration.

would it of been different though if the IAM had allowed the fleet service to vote on the 15 an hr across the board during 2nd bk 11 I do remember that offer but I dont undeerstand why they didnt allow us the fleet service to vote on it
