Pressure? I am not under any pressure. And I simply fail to understand why you are so upset that these Union officers are working "international" ETB trips on the weekends. Why is that illegal? They clicked on it before you did! How are you relating ETB time, which is above and beyond guarantee for all reserves, to Management and their stock options? And why would I be upset about the time they are claiming? They earn every bit of it. I have no claim to that "time", I am not in the Union working tirelessly to protect our F/A's!!
You also say, lovethesun, that the Reserve Chair is a reserve. That's a good thing, right? I would think so! I have called him a few times, and he knows that contract like the back of his hand.
As far as how much the other officers are being paid, I would assume it is 105 as well? Would have to check on that.
ImissAladdinTrays, why should you be paid for 105 hours +ETB time for "sitting in your crashpad with 17 other flight attendants on call 24 hours a day?" You are not working at the AFA office 5 days a week, you are doing what you are being compensated to do : SIT RESERVE! I know it sucks, but that is the Reserve system we are currently operating with! Can you show us these "figures" you have showing the officers working 13 days a month?
And, I hate to break it to you, but there is a way that you can trade a trip to a specific person on the ETB. Call it "backdoor" trip trading if you choose, but EVERYONE is doing it, not just Union people. Who knows if they are even doing that? There are a lot of Int'l trips on the ETB on weekends.
Go down to the office someday and observe these people sometime. I think you just might be surprised.
