Has anyone else heard about the MEC voting on a sideletter today regarding RSVS picking up trips on OFF or INV days during irregular ops for extra pay? Anyone, anyone?
Do yu think his wife will help out and fly over the holidays?
We all need relief but no one more than you who think I am queen. I have never in my career as a Union Rep wanted better for myself . I think that all have a stake in the claim but it does not come. My prayers to my friends and know I love you all
I heard it was for pay no credit. WTF? I may be wrong. But if that's the case....that doesn't help the reserves at all. It wouldn't park them in another bucket. Why would anyone want to work extra hrs without credit?
Grrrr......
Well I guess my bad at starting the topic Has Mike Flores finally lost his marbles in the wrong place. So lets try this again. Okay why does the company not offer special pay for crews to fly on their days off and holidays like the other employees. Why not a side letter offering over time or double time? Why not a side letter changing the reserve system from LTO back to seniority order? Why not allow rsvs to fly the days they are on call to make their monthly obligation? Why would our MEC President be in favor of having reserves fly regular AIL trips on their days off for time over their guarantee? What is the ETB for.....time over our monthly obligtation. Just ask the pilots was giving Poda did for them.
I think it's POTA, priority of trip assignment. They call, you answer, you're goingI absolutely agree with you Sally. Very well put!![]()
And how many times has the company taken a reserves ETB trip away from them on off days? Too many to count. So why should reserves give up more days to this company?
Better question is WHY would they work more off/inv days for this company?
They would NEVER get rid of this horrific system if they do.
BTW, what is Poda?

It was for pay and no credit plus sit back and get ready for this in LTO order. I heard that JM and AB actually voted for this.
Yeah..you're right. They have lost their marbles.
Maybe I'm being obtuse, so please help me out. How is it not a win-win situation here? Some people give up days off anyway, now we can make more money doing it with the pay-no-credit clause. It's another way to make money besides the ETB. Again, I'm not kool-aiding, but help me see how it doesn't help us?
If I am going to fly on my day of for company time, then I want pay above guarantee AND credit for the trip.
JMHO
Got it. Got it. Got it. That would have definitely been a better deal for us. I still think it's something, though.
We just need to get this contract wrapped up so all the overfly issues will be handled and we might one day break guarantee again.
Btw, this whole side letter started with an email to the company from a PHL f/a. It was that f/a's idea.
