Fleet managers. Program is being constructed. As the program develops, there will be more. Initial lineup of training and Flight Standards pilots will follow. Nothing uncommon about this at all, timing is about right when a new fleet is being introduced.I realize that training facilities cannot handle large numbers of pilots at one time (witness the problems the mass retirements this past summer/fall caused) but isnt it a little early to begin training? After all, it will be at least a year before the first trainees can fly an Airbus jet - will they need any refresher training when the deliveries begin?
Thanks! So once the same thing happens with 787-9 training, we'll know that they're about a year away from delivery. 🙂Fleet managers. Program is being constructed. 787 will be a little different since the 787 will share a common type rating with the 777.Thanks! So once the same thing happens with 787-9 training, we'll know that they're about a year away from delivery. 🙂
