I know this is going back a few years, but did Aircal's fleet of 146's and 737-2/300's ever jump the fence before being retired?

I am also curious as to if AA used the 300's manuals and SOP's as the basis for the 800's when they ordered them, or did they start from scratch with new manuals and SOP's?

Are there many pilots and F/A's from Aircal still at AA?
 
I know that Southwest has a couple of aircraft that carry an AA tail number. I think there are 3. I will look on one of the websites to verify.

It looks like 8 of the 737-300s that were with AirCal are now with Southwest. 6 of them carry AA as an aircraft number, such as N679AA.
 
Of the eight -300's, I show only five of them having been subleased to WN -- 673, 676, 677, 678, and 680. The other three were returned to the owners when AA retired the fleet, although it wouldn't surprise me to find that at least one of them wound up at WN with its sisters.

The leases on 673 and 676 expired back in the 90's. The leases on 677 and 678 expired in Jan 2001 and Feb 2001 respectively, and the lease on N680 expired in Jan 2005, so the last one has been off AMR's certificate for at least a year.

I don't believe that AA kept the -300 as a basis for -800 operations, and instead relied on Boeing to "assist" with the creation of manuals and procedures as part of the purchase price.
