Aircraft Mx layoffs?

150 system wide. no other crafts from the airline laid-off only mechanic and utility. oh yea contract negotiations have nothing to do with it nor the farming out of checks below C (in violation of the contract.)

Yeah way to go teamsters....Ask me again why I should sign a card here at FDX/

Maybe you should look at their paychecks, what do they earn, $10/hr more than FedEx?

Umm not quite dude.. I will admit UPS makes more but we don't have part time mx like they do and we are not laying off mx like UPS is and we do not pay union dues like they do. Here are the fedex pay rates It's a little hard to read but if you look a topped out lead with premiums is making 44.71 dayshift.

I'd take a job with FedEx over the Brown. No Unions
UPS can have the xtra pay. I don't need $44.00 an hour to make me happy!

No contract at FedEx, so no violating of anything to farm out any checks, BUT it just so happens, that more work is being brought in-house than any other airline. This is unprecedented in our environment and field.
