What''s happening over at your neck of the woods? Alaska is slowing removing it''s AirPhone and in process of adding a Single Crew Headset Air-to-Ground (Hands Free) Device, in case there''s a medical. Cord will be the lenght of aircraft and plug into F/A Panel.

At AA April 1 all the narrow body airphones were deactivated. On 767 and 777 the Satcom phones are still available. In a medical emergency the ****pit can be in contact with AA medical in Dallas. There is very little information we need from them. Basicly it would be information we would be providing for them, to work with the captain to see if a unscheduled landing is necessary.

If AA puts a air to ground phone for F/A's it will be for crew schedule reassignments.
