USAPA message update for January 8:

http://1.usairlinepilots.org/latest_message.htm

The "Latest Message" can also be heard by dialing 877-678-7272.

They also posted the tentative Constitution and By-Laws, as well as video from the first road show in December.

These links are on the USAPA home page:

N.B. - I have NO official capacity with USAPA, and I am simply a enthusiastic supporter of that effort. I posted the links FYI (if anyone is interested.)

Indeed. A poster child for emotional responses speaks.

Who ever said USAPA would not be sued? Good luck on suing USAPA for DFR over Nicholau! I imagine that on the first hearing, any such suit will be tossed.
At least no one at USAPA will have to pay assessments for the ALPA loss of the MDA suit. Heh, heh.

Go to the USAPA web site to see the question of a DFR lawsuit answered. You will then understand why USAPA is not particularly worried about a DFR action.

Wow, that document was written by legal professionals? No wonder they give USAPA a 50% discount. Gives the 1st year paralegals something to practice on while they go to law school at night.

Just perusing the document, I particularly like these paragraphs:

The dues rate will be determined by the Board of Pilot Representatives. There is no BOPR yet, so they can't give you a %rate right now. It will be better than ALPA's, just trust us on this.

Seniority based on DOH with adjustments for pre-merger career expectations. (Works for me. The seniority list on Doug's desk will work just fine). What about Nicolau? Well, we'll just amend the NMB Arbitration Decision through language and fences in our contract. It will be better than ALPA, just trust us on this.

Absolutely no plans for Day 1, should there be an election, and should they win it. Yeah, we'll promote safety and have insurance and all the other stuff ALPA does. (What happens if there is an aircraft incident on Day 1?). It will be better than ALPA, just trust us on this.

USAPA: Like ALPA, only dumber....and broke (at least you don't have to worry about a DFR lawsuit when you're no longer around)

Can't wait for the PHX roadshow. Will there even be one? Even Prater had enough cojones left to make an appearance there. Don't think the USAPA boys are up to that, though. (Why bother, right? It's all about the East anyway)

"Wow" indeed. Little reason to dispute the outright disinformation/propoganda/fear mongering/etc of your posting, but indeed: "Wow"....West fantasy's clearly reached an all time high previously undreamt of even by me.....you can now actually place "Prater" and "cojones" within the very same sentence

I'll take that as a "No, USAPA will not be coming to PHX". Why am I not surprised? Since Prater actually did go there to face his unhappy constituency, it only follows to reason that the USAPA leadership has even less integrity and honor than the worst President in ALPA history.

Nice deflection, though. As usual, the U-R-A-SAP crowd is long on rhetoric, short on facts and clueless on answers.

Indeed. A poster child for emotional responses speaks.

Actually you easties are the ones who enacted the CIRP when the "egregious" Nic showed up!!! Talk about emotional needs...

Who ever said USAPA would not be sued? Good luck on suing USAPA for DFR over Nicholau! I imagine that on the first hearing, any such suit will be tossed.

Nobody is claiming a successful lawsuit. But court costs can be detrimental to a newfangled union such as USAPA... And if you believe Seham and everything he says then you are dumber than I thought.

At least no one at USAPA will have to pay assessments for the ALPA loss of the MDA suit. Heh, heh.

I know of no one who will pay dues to your union out west either. So I suppose that leaves you with all those eventual assessments USAPA will ask for to get this bird off the ground...

Whether the PHX pilots pay USAPA dues or file a DFR lawsuit, whether the lawyers representing ALPA or USAPA are right or wrong, whether USAPA has the wherewithall in terms of talent and funds to successfully manage a union ( I believe they do); these arguments are irrelevant now because they are all post election scenarios - and an election is coming.

If USAPA prevails in the election, these issues and questions will all be resolved at that time, for better or for worse ( I believe for the better).

The object now is to let the horse out of the ALPA barn. What anyone does with the doors afterwards - I couldn't care less.

Its' really way past time you guys stop blaming everthing and everyone but yourselves. ALPA didn't vote on the TA YOU DID!!! ALPA didn't push a totally unfair position in the med/arb case, YOU DID!!! Blame everyone else but the truth is you have no one to blame but yourselves. Yes game is on snd remember when it's all said and done you only have yourselves to blame however you learned yet so I don't have hight expectations that you will this time.
We're not blaming anyone and everyone. Just ALPA and its flawed structure and processes. So what TA are you referring to? The Transition Agreement to merge? I don't recall any vote on that, much less my input. What I do recall is it was crafted with the high paid expert help out of Herndon.

Fairness is in the eye of the beholder. But merger policy should not be a process or "guideline".

Yes I do blame myself for allowing ALPA to let this ever get off the ground. But my expectations and fix is coming in the near future.

USAPA: Like ALPA, only dumber....and broke (at least you don't have to worry about a DFR lawsuit when you're no longer around)
So ALPA is dumb? Thanks for reassuring me on what I already knew. But USAPA broke? That is too good. Love the fear mongering and outright lies. USAPA has received in excess of $40 thousand in the last 10 days. With more coming in.

You wouldn't like any document written by USAPA.

Thanks for telling me what I like and don't like. Sounds familiar..where we married?

So ALPA is dumb?

ALPA is the worst pilots union there is, except for all the alternatives.

Love the fear mongering and outright lies

OK, set me straight then. When is USAPA coming to PHX? How are you overturning "da Nic"?, How do we know that the dues percentage will not be changed once USAPA is voted in? How do you plan to proceed on Day 1? When will elections for local officers be held and how long will that take? Who will provide the services ALPA now provides, how much will they cost and if there is a lapse in coverage how long will this take? When will contract negotiations with the company begin?

USAPA has received in excess of $40 thousand in the last 10 days. With more coming in.

Of course you have. 60K in 6 months, 40K in 10 days. Sounds reasonable. What did you do, have a telethon on Charlotte public cable?

Like I said before, you wouldn't believe me anyway. Give Treasurer Mark King a call or e-mail like I did and ask him yourself. Your problem is you're in denial over how much support USAPA has. I want you to keep thinking that way. So your saying the best we could do is $100 grand? Now that is really good. Try north of that.  Thanks for the insight.

Sorry, but Spanky is not senior to me and he will never be my Captain.

Spanky, I love that probably older than you but hey WTF, I like it!!! Yes I am senior to you JR but you need not worry cause I ain't traveling any further than PHX to work at this company in either seat. BTW do you think that I would ever tell you or any of your cronnies on this forum my real seniority position??? Crack kills...

Um, last straw comes to mind.

Um, I talk with Seham weekly. He thinks you guys are morons.

One, why don't you attempt to make your responses compatible with USaviation policies and procedures?

You don't want to make it easy for replies? I can understand why, your "logic" is pretty pathetic.

I am surprised the mods cannot figure out how to curb your unintelligent fears.
