But I guess its ok for the west guys to pay for everything the east is trying to get back that you lost, you don't mind that do you?
Isn't that what Leonidas wants also? You get it all and we pay for for it?

If you don't believe it and just want to dish out FUD then yea, I want it all. How's that for some propaganda? Why don't you just spread it around as the new position statement for your FUD buddies in ALPA.

If you really believe in what you said, I would have to respond you have no clue as to what the east pilots or USAPA really thinks. You just have blinders on and selective hearing listening to ALPA.

Glad you agree with our position on ALPA. 1 and 1 is not bad. You bring up AA. I can bring up SWA. Stalemate again.

Not really. Southwest has never even asked for RJs. If they do and the Southwest guys shoot it down, then (and only then) might you have a legit point.

It's still legit. If you could respond in context it would make sense to you. Stalemate again.

Yea, that's right. ALPA did it to embarass AA.

Well I would have to say the stalemate was broken a long time ago my friend when the IACP represented the Continental pilots. Once again management was successful in securing hundreds of RJs operating as Continental Express to provide their feed. So here is a myth that some try to sell about ALPA vs independent that I definitely won't buy.

Again you criticize ALPA. Please list the many things you personally did or tried to do to change all you complain about ALPA. You have been a dues paying member for years I bet. It's easy to #### and moan about what you hate, but rarely do I find anyone that actually tried to change what they didn't like. The whoa is me works maybe once.
Jeeze, where does one start?
Fully legal attempts to have the recall of CLT reps placed on the council agenda, over-ridden by ALPA National.
How is that for a start?
If anyone should have been placed into trusteeship, it should have been the CLT council.

While that may be true, didn't the whole RJ issue begin when Airways was in it's prime? Knowing full well what ramifications RJs were to the industry, please direct me to the USAirways pilots objections to that issue.
RJs were only imposed after going into bankruptcy, AAA pilots successfully fending them off until then.

PIT Captain rep tried to get MetroJet declared a "B" scale but ALPA Nat. over-rode and signed off on it anyway, despite having a "no B-scale" policy.

Actually, RJs were discussed when Herb was honcho.

My friend who was at the meeting (what a concept, including employees in discussions!!) said the concept lasted as long as it took to point out that a quarter full 737-200 made more money than a full RJ. To his knowledge, it never came up again.

Now you know why they make money. The RJs were the means for less scrupulous managements to impose B" scales on their employees. It was the ONLY way it could work. Now, with oil prices in the $100 barrel range, they can't even make money with the lower wages.

They can't park 'em fast enough! And, our illustrious ex CEO Dave Seigel led the charge in the industry. His co conspirators at ALPA let it happen! MORE $20K/YEAR PILOT JOBS THAN GOD CAN COUNT! YAY ALPA!!

Thats correct, All Alpa wants is more dues paying members. It doesn't matter how much they make.

HHmmm...More planes (RJs) =more pilots=more dues.....BRILLIANT !!!

Where do we sign.

Parker and boys say publicly they will negotiate with whomever wins. So who do they really want as the pilot's cba come April 18, alpa negotiators or hired usapa negotiators? You know Glass & Co. has a preference.

We d/a fence sitters need to know soon. My vote goes to the one Parker fears the most.

I can't believe you don't have faith in our APLO negotiators!! They have done so well in the past, right.

Better than what your Usap dorks are gonna do...Alpa definitely is nothing to cheer about, but with Usap, holding on to our current CBA will be a miracle.

Prater, alpa leader, was one of the leaders of the IACP, he is a Continental pilot. His resume shows that he does not like to fly anything but a desk on flight pay loss.

""Today, Continental Captain John Prater was elected President of the Association with 24,444 roll call votes. Northwest Captain Duane Woerth received 23,524 votes. This is a short bio for our pilots.

Captain Prater has a long and involved pilot union history. Highlights of his union work include:

-- He was hired by Continental in 1978. Following Frank Lorenzo’s takeover of Continental, he served as the ALPA Guam S/O Rep. He was furloughed in May 1983

-- He was recalled to CAL 23 days prior to Continental's first bankruptcy. He performed nation-wide strike prep picketing work when the pilot group went on strike. He was also elected as the MEC Secretary-Treasurer during the strike.

-- He was appointed ALPA's AFL CIO labor coordinator by ALPA President Hank Duffy. During this time, he worked on developing union support in the fight against Lorenzo and lobbied for a change to bankruptcy law.

-- In 1984, he worked part time at a United Training Center. When United's pilots struck in 1985, he honored the strike and was fired by United.

-- He returned to Continental in 1986. ALPA was no longer on the property, and he was active in ALPA organizing drives in 1989 and 1992.

--Starting in 1994, he served as the IACP's Strike Committee Chairman. In 1996, he was appointed chairman of the effort to merge with ALPA.

-- In 1998, he was elected as Vice President of the IACP. In 2001, following the merger with ALPA, he was elected the MEC Vice Chairman. In 2002, Prater was elected to serve as MEC Chairman.

--In 2003, he went back to flying the line full time and then joined the B-787 Aircraft Development Group.

--He currently serves of the chairman of the Continental MEC's Negotiating Committee.
he has experienced a total of five airline bankruptcies, three strikes, and numerous furloughs.

--His four-year term is effective January 1, 2007.""
