Thanks for the link, Local.

These stories will also encourage some consumers to run to the store and buy double their usual take... which, in turn, encourages more journalists to write on the story... which, in turn, encourages more consumer to buy, etc... etc.... etc... It can be a vicious cycle.

Let's hope that retailers' supply chains are capable of adjusting quickly to increased demand.

A little "black market" is good every now and then.

One advantage to living in this insane northeast corridor(NYC-BOS)....you can always get ANYTHING, ANYTIME.

Hey, the Mafia's been "on the ropes" lately,..................maybe this could be the "kick start" they need

Plus us northern "border staters" (with "Oh Canada") comes into play as well !!!!!!!!

Maybe when the food shelves are empty and the corporate government comes up with some "guns for food" program (sponsored by Halliburton, Lockheed Martin, Boeing etal.), the sheeple will wake up. Perhaps it will be a classic case of what comes around goes around. Americans have stood idly by as the so called "Free market" policies of the corporate government have screwed the third world and the former Soviet Union. The chickens are comming home to roost!

Free Market uber alles!
Corporate apologists are quick to label anyone who disagrees with them as: "marxist," "liberals," "commies,""terrorists, etc, etc.
Here's another label: Fascist; as in fascist state. A fascist state is what the U.S. has become.

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." - Benito Mussolini.

uh, bud... perhaps you are labeled a "marxist" because of your pic and name???

"God is in favor of capitalism and corporatism." - George Washington & Abe Lincoln (of course this is a fictional quote... much like yours).

Looks like Ed Norton has himself another profile.

When you put "everything" together, in well understood, comprehensive format- It just won't be the U.S., but all of US, in a very turbulent time. Solutions, somewhat simular to solving Rubik's cube, will be the order of the day. Things are going to get very interesting between now, and 2012- In a Pefect Storm- (This article was written 6/4/04)

Gott mit uns!....wasnt' God on the side of the Nazis too? I wish he would make up his mind!
Didn't Christ chase out the merchants and the money changers from the temple? You'd have a hard time convincing me He was on the side of the capitalist war mongers.

You might want to read up on the history of the former Soviet Union. At least with present system in that is curretnly in place you don't people dying by the millions in the gulag, dying from stavation from forced collectivization of being executed outright by the NKVD. May I suggest The Black Book of Communism or The Unquiet Ghosts by Adam Hochschild.
