AMFA files for single carrier status for Alaska/Hawaiian merger

AMFA sucks period
And you just help prove my point with your AMFA agenda. AND you continue to dodge and avoid all issues that I brought up that you reported was false and misinformation.
Ignore you? No way, you make it so much easier than the two idiots that took it way out of control too. Please do continue to make a fool of yourself...

I’m not even reading what you’re writing fruitcake. Happy Thanksgiving though. Hope AMFA gives you more than a half dozen cold deli Turkey slices with no bread for the day if you’re working.

Yea, whatever. We all know you are reading it. You just have nothing to cover what you did wrong. Thanks for the holiday greeting and the same to you and yours. Xmas is right around the corner. I am still working, but haven't been to work for months. Taking care of me before I retire.

“NMB ISSUES CHALLENGE RULING
December 2, 2025
Dear Sisters and Brothers:

The National Mediation Board has issued a decisive ruling in Case No. 7669, affirming the IAM’s position and rejecting AMFA’s attempt to strip cleaners and line servicemen of their voting rights in the Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines election, the IAM wins, and AMFA loses again.

In October 2025, IAM responded forcefully to AMFA’s desperate attempt, making clear that cleaners and line servicemen are part of the Mechanics and Related craft and class. Their right to vote is not up for debate—it is protected, recognized, and now reaffirmed.

Since September 16, 2025, AMFA has dragged its feet, stalling and obstructing the process. That ends here. The NMB ruling makes it clear: the election moves forward, and every member will have the opportunity to make their voice heard.

The numbers are definitive: 254 cleaners and 51 line servicemen remain eligible, bringing the total to 1,990 voters. This figure reflects all eligibility rulings to date. Prior to the tally, undeliverables will be removed in accordance with Manual Sections 14.206 and 14.207, with those numbers disclosed at the count.

District 142 will continue to deliver updates as the NMB releases additional information or issues further rulings. The IAM stands ready, the members stand ready, and the vote will proceed—without delay and without compromise. AMFA has the right to delay even further by appealing the decision, which is required by 4PM ET, December 9th, 2025.

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.

Dead wrong once again there chiefy. AMFA NEVER delayed any vote for union representation of these two entities. AMFA represents cleaners and line service men (mechanics) at all the airlines they represent. To say AMFA was objecting or challenging this is complete BS and you know this. It was in fact the IAM that was fighting who would or would not be added to the voting tally. Weez, show me anything that says and or proves AMFA was objecting to cleaners and line mechanics being added to the Mechanic and Related Classification. YOU CAN NOT!!! Period! The IAM is completely full of shite trying to pin all this on AMFA when it was in FACT them doing all the dragging out and challenging of folks being added to the list to vote. Just like at AA AMFA challenged sups and managers off the list and they were awarded their challenges. The IAM's challenge to folks being "taken off the list" of mechanic and related was awarded (ONCE AGAIN) in AMFA's favor. Dude just stop your BS, no one believes you out here at all. NMB Representation Election Update
[td]
Dec 02, 2025
December 02, 2025
Dear AMFA-Represented Members at Alaska Airlines & Future Hawaiian Members:
On December 2, 2025, the National Mediation Board (NMB) issued its response to AMFA’s submission for class and craft clarification for the Cleaners and Line Servicemen at Hawaiian Airlines. The NMB has ruled that both the Cleaners and Line Servicemen classifications of work fall under the Mechanics & Related class and craft and will be included in the NMB election. There are 305 eligible Cleaners & Line Servicemen at Hawaiian Airlines. The combined total of eligible votes for both Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines is 1990 members.
The National Mediation Board ("Board") has authorized an election for the union representation for the Aircraft Mechanics and Related work groups for Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines. The election will be conducted by mail ballot. Ballots will be mailed to the employees on December 16, 2025. The voting period will be from 12:01 a.m., ET, December 16, 2025, through February 12, 2026. The tally will take place at the Board’s offices on February 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., ET. AMFA will have representatives at the NMB offices during the ballot count on February 12, 2026.
The NMB has officially announced the dates for the union representation election between the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) and the IAM. ALL members should have already verified that their mailing address is up-to-date with the company in PeopleSoft. The date on file within PeopleSoft is the date that will be supplied to the NMB. We encourage everyone to fill out their ballot and return to the NMB as soon as possible (ASAP). DO NOT hesitate and miss the opportunity for your vote to count. This representation election will determine the course of your future with Alaska Airlines. The time is now for every member to voice their support for the union who they want to be represented by. AMFA has been instrumental in the continued elevation of the Aviation Maintenance profession as a craft of skilled, licensed, and professional technicians. Everyone’s vote truly matters in this election, so exercise your right and VOTE!
Sincerely,

And here is your full month of Octobers updates that directly proves the IAM is lying their arsses off to try and save face, and all the members of both these airlines know this and will prevail in AMFA's favor in the end, watch and learn:

And there you have it. And weezy, you know for a fact I will never post the false info and misinformation the crooked IAM keeps and constantly tries to spread about AMFA. Just like I have posted before, it is in FACT the IAM that is trying to postpone the vote at these two airlines as they already know they will be removed from representing the mechanics and related at the combined Alaska/Hawaiian Airlines. Wait Watch and Learn Chiefy. The IAM will in fact go down in this election, mark my words. Happy reading on the demise of the IAM in the airline's mechanics ranks in our industry. OH wait, This has NOTHING to do with YOUR union, BUT YOU still try and keep spreading all the false and misinformation posted by the IAM---which is not YOUR union. What's up with that weezy???

MORON………..

I’m sharing what the “”””””INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MACHINISTS”””””” wrote….

MORON…………

I’m not writing ✍️ anything.

WOW are you STUPID……..

But it is HILARIOUS watching you get so completely triggered and have to go off writing what “”””””YOU””””””” believe.

GET HELP………

AMFA writes their propaganda (story)
IAM writes their propaganda (story)

Both have their own agendas

(Weirdo maniac fruitcake response coming soon)

This update again proves to me that the IBT (Teamsters) did a far superior job at Negotiating a Contract than AMFA did over at SWA where AMFA actually gave away work (LOA # 1) to get their raises. In other words AMFA chopped off their own feet and ate them.

Correct! YOU are sharing the false and misinformation that the IAM is putting out.
Therefore YOU are spreading the same false and misleading information.

Now lets compare these updates, both from AMFA & IAM. Weez, take notes here. Notice how every update AMFA puts out they include downloaded links that the NMB, CIRB and and other entity involved put out to confirm the truth of their postings, where the IAM does not. There are reasons for this weez and you know it.

Not triggered, and not going off, simply writing and pointing out the facts that the IAM has continuously lied and spreading false and misinformation from what is really taking place, ESPECIALLY on who is delaying and and challenging as pointed out by the NMB in this case and the CIRB in the other cases. The members are taking serious notes on how unprofessional the IAM is acting, lying, spreading false and misinformation that does NOT agree with the AMFA/NMB/CIRB postings and updates. If fact, the IAM postings are direct opposite of what the other 3 have put out.

And you still and always turn to name calling and disrespectful comments instead of facing and discussing the issues brought up to you, and that just speaks volumes, because you really have "0" comeback on any of these issues so you have to revert over to juvenile, disrespectful and unprofessional name calling and comments.

This is so easy with you and the IAM. The IAM, by their own actions will help AMFA win this election by a landslide. Watch and learn wezzy... And please do carry on with your antics.

Do I think the IAM (Machinists) are better than AMFA? If you counted their Aircraft Manufacturing sector such as Boeing it’s no contest. In the Passenger Airline sector however it’s debatable.

IAM doesn’t represent that many outside of AA where the TWU carries the majority of the membership.

Now of course the IAM would like to take credit for both the 2020 Contract and the 2025 extension but I firmly do believe it again was the TWU who pushed for the win. IAM Leadership and Members were very wishy washy mainly likely because they were such a small group.

AMFA isn’t really a Union. On paper it is but in reality it’s a generational Lawfirm called Seeham Seeham Meltz and Peterson based in upstate New York. They decide the real fates of the rubes who sign up with them.

Despite the vitriolic return response I’ll receive for my comment facts have to matter. DOL LM2 reports are facts.

Dead wrong again weezy!!! AMFA has generated ILC many more times than teamsters ever did in their 34 plus years at SWA. AMFA has also added more maint lines at SWA than teamsters ever did. AMFA has added more headcount and more jobs at SWA than teamsters ever did. And weezy, AMFA has only been here for approx the last 16-18 years. You can sit there and claim what ever you wish, but the entire "mechanic and related" industry in aviation knows the facts already and that is all that matters. They will never listen to some other group member (not even a part of the mechanic and related) spread lies and false misinformation just to try and knock AMFA down a bit. They all know what is really going on.

Dude, C'mon man! It is very well known that AMFA is the premium union to be represented by in the Airline industry hands down. All 3 of the industrial unions (teamsters, IAM and twu) all suck as proven by AMFA gaining so much traction within the airline industry for the past several years, by overtaking several airlines and entities that WERE represented by the teamsters, the IAM and of course the most by the twu. Soon to become upwards of 15 airlines and entities within the airline and aviation industry. Watch and learn and eat crow while AMFA just keeps killing it in our industry NOT yours...

Rinse and repeat:

Had you on ignore during those times. Weez, I never follow that stuff, so I cannot make any legit or honest opinions except that AMFA members are very well represented by attorneys and other entities when needed. And yes, just like all companies, unions and entities, they all have charges reflecting the work from the legal team that does work to look out for the best interest of who they represent. The total cost of said representation will reflect with size of entity, various and multiple factors as contract nego's, fighting to get members jobs back, safety issues, any and all rights violations, workman's comp issue and many many more.
AMFA does not just let an entity do as they please and hope for the best like the other industrial unions do, AMFA will stand up and fight and get deeply involved when needed as needed. Just as our Pilots have always said, when it comes to great representation from the legal part of any and all issues, it does come with a price. And AMFA will not just sit back in idle mode and allow members rights to constantly be violated as other unions do.
Don't forget there weezy, AMFA's Seeham has also saved AA's members from being fired more than once when the twu would NOT step up and fight for their rights. That is fact and we all know their names too... Again, good representation comes at a cost, lousy representation also comes at a cost, as in, the cost of members jobs and employment. But hey, at least those members unions get to save a few bucks for not using great representation.
Remember back in the days weez when all the industrial unions were claiming that AMFA was too small and all the airlines will use their legal entities to run AMFA out of $$$? NEVER happened, it was all made up lies and propaganda. AMFA could spend millions upon millions each and every year and still come out ok. Unlike the crooked teamsters who were sooo broke they did in fact stop all legal representational issues to conserve the remains in the coffer, and this is why there is still to this day a huge backlog of cases still pending within the teamsters organization in all union groups and industries.
