Dude, C'mon man! It is very well known that AMFA is the premium union to be represented by in the Airline industry hands down. All 3 of the industrial unions (teamsters, IAM and twu) all suck as proven by AMFA gaining so much traction within the airline industry for the past several years, by overtaking several airlines and entities that WERE represented by the teamsters, the IAM and of course the most by the twu. Soon to become upwards of 15 airlines and entities within the airline and aviation industry. Watch and learn and eat crow while AMFA just keeps killing it in our industry NOT yours...
Rinse and repeat:
Had you on ignore during those times. Weez, I never follow that stuff, so I cannot make any legit or honest opinions except that AMFA members are very well represented by attorneys and other entities when needed. And yes, just like all companies, unions and entities, they all have charges reflecting the work from the legal team that does work to look out for the best interest of who they represent. The total cost of said representation will reflect with size of entity, various and multiple factors as contract nego's, fighting to get members jobs back, safety issues, any and all rights violations, workman's comp issue and many many more.
AMFA does not just let an entity do as they please and hope for the best like the other industrial unions do, AMFA will stand up and fight and get deeply involved when needed as needed. Just as our Pilots have always said, when it comes to great representation from the legal part of any and all issues, it does come with a price. And AMFA will not just sit back in idle mode and allow members rights to constantly be violated as other unions do.
Don't forget there weezy, AMFA's Seeham has also saved AA's members from being fired more than once when the twu would NOT step up and fight for their rights. That is fact and we all know their names too... Again, good representation comes at a cost, lousy representation also comes at a cost, as in, the cost of members jobs and employment. But hey, at least those members unions get to save a few bucks for not using great representation.
Remember back in the days weez when all the industrial unions were claiming that AMFA was too small and all the airlines will use their legal entities to run AMFA out of $$$? NEVER happened, it was all made up lies and propaganda. AMFA could spend millions upon millions each and every year and still come out ok. Unlike the crooked teamsters who were sooo broke they did in fact stop all legal representational issues to conserve the remains in the coffer, and this is why there is still to this day a huge backlog of cases still pending within the teamsters organization in all union groups and industries.
