If anyone ever comes back here and wants to know what AMFA (The Lawfirm) is really all about. Here is Letter of agreement # 1 of the last AMFA contract extension at SWA. AMFA (The Lawfirm) sells away the Mechanics work for money. 🤑 Eventually like their History they’ll sell out all of you.
Oh and let’s not forget about their 5 years 10 Months insane years of not getting a contract from 2003 to December 2008 and then their 6 years and 9 months from 2012 to 2019.
AMFA constantly takes the prize for the most dragged out negotiations. Jesus Christ help anyone who goes with them since they’ll have you on ice forever.

First and foremost as all out here already knows, or at least all mechanics in the airline industry already know, AMFA has never, ever once stalled any contract nego's. It was in fact the company that stalled nego's (both times in your 2 examples) they were hoping that the mechanics would just fold and except low ball offers. To the companies complete surprise, the membership held out in the long run, for industry leading contract in the end with full back pay, bonuses, and 100% plus on retro, and even got over 2 million more than the company wanted to give. No other mechanics union can say that. And your beloved twu has NEVER gotten full retro & back pay for overtime, NEVER.
Now to address your misinformation on the LOA #1. It was in fact the teamsters that agreed to and allowed the outsourcing overseas and out of the country, first to Canada, and then to El Salvador. AMFA successfully fought and won the fight for the outsourcing in Canada and brought ALL that maint back to in house (not back to America) back to in house. AMFA also fought the El Salvador outsourcing allowed by the teamsters when they were here, which allowed wide open, non restricted outsourcing to them with unlimited anything, cost, number of lines, and even the amount of maint packages were wide open. AMFA saw that they were not going to get this maint back in America or in house after years discussions (not negotiations) so they set out to put several restrictions regs and rules in place, as well as obtain language to add and eventually double the heavy maint lines in Dallas, and add 2 C-check lines, one in Dallas and one in Hou. As well as add language to increase headcount to the added number of aircraft which now drives the added headcount at SWA since 2004. And BTW skippy, SWA is still hiring mechanics each and every month for the past several years.
So to cap, AMFA ***"NEVER"*** has nego to outsource any aircraft maint overseas. So once again your postings are false/lies and misinformation. Pls continue to post and look like an idiot because you really have no clue what is going on here at SWA and the AMFA representation of the Mechanics.
