For those fans of conspiracy theories and Ripley's Believe it or Not.......

This morning while flying with a great crew PHL-TPA, I was given a cup of coffee, and the FA gave me 2 sugars....one said US Airways and the other said United!!!

We both did a double take, and she laughed and made a remark about this being proof that there will be a merger...of course she was kidding....

I just thought SOME of you might find this amusing.

Well if you come to the US counter in TPA you will currently find UA name tags on the counter. A while back we had UA ticket jackets. Its because we arent getting the supplies we need in a timely manner to take care of the operation. We were told it was a producer problem, but it took forever to get resupplied and we continue to run low on things from time to time. Not sure if it is a producer problem or local ordering problem. I still dont see why the carriers dont get "Star Alliance" ticket jackets, name tags and anything else that can be used between the carriers and save some money in ordering supplies.

Sorry I missed you today Art, but I did get a FFocus card. Wheres the candy? 😉 Did the gate agent eat it before she gave it to me? 🙄

a while back we had "TED" styrophome cups oonboard a flight i was working to sju. i used them of course.

Two weeks ago we had America West plastic cups out of LAS. Thats all we had, os we had to serve them. Dont even thnk customers noticed.

Actually, probably more of a supply issue. I've seen USAir sugar on airplanes before. Often our gates are in close proximity. Perhaps the caterers were short on supplies, or mixed up a box. Then the supplies get passed around the system and show up wherever.

Instead of cocktail napkins, we'll pass out Kleenex and in place of non-aspirin, we'll have Robitussin DM (there will be a marketing tie-in, of course).

However, I shudder at the thought of the new greenish-brown uniforms.

Yes they'll be ugly uniforms, but at least they won't show dirt or whatever.

AT our station, SkyChef does the catering and many time they have no USAir items, so they cater with cups and sugars etc, with anything they have. Last week we had Lufthansa sugar packets on our flights... 😀
