Another School Massacre

Deal, just make absolutely sure your kids don't become one of the "bad guys" breaking into my house and you won't have anything to worry about.

BTW, your manufactured stories are quite entertaining.

How many bad guys break into a house? Because the stories from your side are being manufactured that it's no longer one guy, but 5...then after an old lady in a jewelry store chases off 5 armed thugs with 2 shots, it got manufactured upwards to 7...then "marauding hordes".

So what would you say KC, an average of about 3 "bad guys" per home invasion event? On your best day you will never limit me to 7 rounds in my magazine, never!

Of course you don't live your life in fear, you live your life in denial.

This argument always goes the same way. Someone like East will pull a bunch of articles showing examples of home owners who protected their house against various numbers of intruders and the circle jerk continues. Then the onus is on you to show that things did not happen. Nearly impossible to do. How do you show how many homes were not robbed? How do you show how many people were not killed and why? Has your family just been lucky for 121 years or have there been mitigating factors such as not placing your self in harms way and making ones residence an undesirable target? Who knows. How do you show how many people have not been murdered and why? Did some of them have a gun on them when someone might have been considering cause harm to them? Who knows.

I was robbed at gun point (two people and two guns). I was caught from behind at a shopping mall. Had I been carrying a concealed or exposed weapon would I have still been robbed? Who knows. No way to play the scenario over to see what an alternate out come would have been. I do not own a gun and see no point in it. Statistically I am unlikely to ever need it. And given my wife’s proclivity to being startled at the slightest noise I think it is best to keep it that way even though she has asked a few times about how I feel about getting a gun.

I do agree with the gun rights advocates that banning guns won't work. I like the idea but I know it will not work. Too many guns, too many people and it is just unrealistic. I have been arguing for universal background checks, no P2P sales without BC, all future gun's must be titled and all owners must be liable for their weapons. This does not infringe upon the 2nd and it will help reduce the number of guns accessible to people who should not own them.

NOw for the next part of the story..You are assuming that after hearing one shot fired in their direction that they would take a battle stance and fight it out. I don't believe that. I believe that once they heard one shot, all 3 or 4 of them would go "Oh Sheeyat.....this persons nuts" and left. Much as the 5 intruders did when that old lady ran them off with 2 shots. And even with a limit of 7 shots, the end result is - the homestead is protected.

Here's 3 to 4 home intruders in this story near your home town - February 19, 2013. A LEGITIMATE ONE. But they chased him INTO his home at 1 in the morning. Not sure, but I'll give this one to you

Here's 2 home intruders in this story near your home town - January 10, 2013.The uninjured brother told police they sometimes have “wild” parties where people are known to deal drugs. He told police they had a party Wednesday night and believes the suspects may have been at the party and returned on Thursday to steal some electronics.

Of course you don't live your life in fear, you live your life in denial.

So of our 7 examples, two were random home invasions 3 were drug related, one was thwarted by a guy with a knife, and one was thwarted with a guy saying "Hey....what's going on here".

I have been arguing for universal background checks

The National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) denied 79,000 would-be buyers. Of those, 105 were prosecuted and 43 were convicted. That's a conviction rate of 5/100ths of one percent. Either the remaining denials were false positives – legitimate purchases unjustly blocked by NICS – or, if the denials were proper, then 99.95 percent of the 79,000 rejected applicants escaped punishment. Neither conclusion offers much hope for an expanded system of background checks.

Until you can show me the newspaper article or police report of this incident, it's just another one of your manufactured stories. If I'm required to show links, so are you.

Here we go again with the 7 round magazine bullshit.

err, your question was "How many bad guys break into a house". I tried to establish an average based on reported home invasions in your area. The figure I came up with was 3.

The fact remains that not all people are as safe as you with their guns.

Do us a favor and loose your juvenile attitude. It does nothing to further your argument.

A minor point of clinical interest = Through exactly what bizarre excuse for "thinking" were you able to place "as safe as you with their guns" (being definably lethal weapons) within a post simultaneously claiming a "juvenile attitude"? The adolescent arrogance, utter dearth of any semblance of "logic", and just plain wholesale insanity of the twisted liberal "mind" always serves to amuse. 😉

Do yourself and any who care for you a huge favor and learn how to actually THINK. Meanwhile, should that suggested tasking prove impossible, well...just "Buy a shotgun...Buy a shotgun". If your wife's ever left alone at home; just tell her to load that good old double barrel, walk out into the open in probably the dark of night, then fire off "two blasts" into..well..somewhere, and, having thus announced her precise location to any bad guys, wait with hope that police magically materialize before any harm comes to her, now that she's rendered her shotgun worthless by way of unloading it. Fair enough? 🙂 Excuse me meanwhile, if I'll not bow down to any such clinically insane rantings from a proven village idiot or any of his pathetic ilk.

You whole argument for registration would do less than NOTHING to prevent criminals, who by definition, do not care a whit about laws, from obtaining weapons. Home invasions and violent crimes have increased to multiple times their former rates in countries such as Great Britain and Australia since exercising "gun control". The entirely insane fantasy that anyone who's disposed towards committing crimes will concern themselves with ANY "gun control" laws can only exist within the minds of very young and highly imaginative children, or permanent denizens of Fantasyland...Period.

NOt with a "Beware of Dog" sign at the entrance to the driveway....halfway up the driveway... and by the house (next to his van actually) you can't fix stupid.

That posted sign relieves you of zero legal, much less any moral responsibility.

Well East..let's chalk it up to luck then. IT happened in the 1970's and dad didn't lose his house and we didn't go homeless because we got sued. And do I have a moral responsibility to a moron who wouldn't listen to a "kid" who was telling him 3 or 4 times 'let me put the dog up'? I might have been just a dumb kid, but I knew my dog needed to be put up.

I believe that once they heard one shot, all 3 or 4 of them would go "Oh Sheeyat.....this persons nuts" and left.

Sigh! So then; "once they heard one shot" = "this persons nuts" Have you told this to smoking (something) joe biden? 😉

Well East, scroll back in this thread where a little old lady took on 5 thugs and they did exactly that with only two shots from granny's gun. So yes, I honestly believe that 2,3 4 or even 5 thugs would hightail it after realizing they are being shot at. And I also believe that 2,3 4 or even 5 thugs would pick another house if they heard my hounds barking and growling as they tried to get in.

Now of course, all bets are off if someone was pissed off at me because of a drug deal gone bad, as was pointed out by the multi-thug attacks in my area in an earlier post, but I don't use or sell drugs, nor do I hang out with people who do, so I don't worry too much about that either.

Wow you are an obnoxiously rude individual. Can you be any more insulting while trying to have a discussion? I could care less if you agree with me or not but you obviously lack the ability to have a civil discussion.

I really do not care if criminals care about the law if all guns must have a title of transfer (like a car) then they cannot get a new gun with out a background check. They can try and steal one but they will not be buying one.

I have already said I am not in favor of banning guns like AU and GB but acknowledging that does not fit your POV so you constantly ignore it.
