April/May 2013 Pilot Discussion

Boy, talk about some Sunday Morning entertainment. West Class pilots discussing the "value" of furloughed pilots, when they obviously don't even appreciate a pilot with seventeen years’ service, with NO furlough in his career here.

That's not true. I've said in the past I didn't think that was fair. You guys don't seem to want to right a wrong, you want the whole enchilada, which is just as wrong. What's that saying about giving an inch and someone taking a mile?

Thanks for that Bean, I was not aware of your thoughts on that issue. Pilots on both sides seem to jump in every time I mention the 17 year pilot issue with other unfair things in the NIC. For me it is that single issue that rendered the NIC unusable, and now moot. I don't need to look any further.

And going for straight DOH with the proper fences and restrictions is a valid premise and legal path for any union to take. The only path? Of course not, but legal and reasonable if done correctly.

Have a great Sunday all, I plan to be in front of the TV from about 4pm local until the close of the Masters. One of my favorite sporting events of the year!

Augusta in the Spring, what an awesome sight. Do you think Tiger can get over the 2-stroke penalty to win this year?

Hey Bean...I'm still waiting on an answer to my question in post #1019. Please explain?

It was sooo funny, I thought you were joking. Wow, start integrating with 1983 hire dates (LMAO). America West began operations in 1983. I've seen your DOH list, it's a staple job.

If you'll be honest, you know it's not. A staple job means ALL of you go behind the most junior East pilot. You're just being dramatic. I am not defending a DOH list, but your description of it is way off base.

You're right, I'm being dramatic. It's an almost, near total, just about, pretty much, staple job.
Happy now?

Bean

You don't even have a LEGAL definition of LUP. How do you know? I know, Marty told you.

Even if there were a definition, there is no venue or authority to pre-test or pre-authorize any USAPA list before negotiations are complete. LUP definition or not, it won't be tested until negotiations are complete and a final JCBA exists.

The continual attempt by west pilots to shape ongoing negotiations is proof positive that it ain't over and negotiations continue.

I disagree. It's over. Been over for a long time, pretty much since the Ninth ruled. The westies just won't let it go (yet).

You're joking, right?

Sorry, but it's humorous when you guys try and take the high ground. You tried to staple the west pilot group and when that didn't happen you did everything you could to harm us and force us to subjugate.

As a reminder, the AWA/US merger happened in 2005. Your tactic of delay won't change that.

Bean
I don't believe you understand staple. But to help, it's what Nic did to the furloughed AAA pilots. glad you don't agree with stapling!

The merger policy was career expectations. They were stapled because, they were, wait for it, wait for it..........FURLOUGHED.

Alex, I'd like pilots stuck in the past, that can't read for $500 please.

Why are there 40 plus pilots furloughed on the west with no hiring in sight, yet the east is hiring 100's of pilots? Why are 25 percent of your routes former East routes? The only thing that you brought to the merger is Mr. Parker.

A 98.6 temperature and a seat at the west's last vestige of a new hire class you attended does not save an airline. Enjoy the PHX pilot base before it closes.

What exactly did the in ninth rule?

Not ripe.

That does not end it. This case if not now ripe will be ripe. Everyone that has looked at the merits have said usapa is wrong.
