Were we a bigger laughing stock before or after the MOU?

We weren't bankrupt but we were making less than the bankrupt pilots were going to make with or without the merger.
Yes we (I did not) were thanks again to the fear factor You all signed on to LOA93, and let your pension go in the middle of the night without a vote, the list continues.

Your side keep saying No in bankrupty as each proposal got worse and the 19% stock the company offered disapeared.

The pension was lost because your side (lead by John Davis), against the advice of the R&I Committee, refused freezing the plan.

John Davis and Jon Bryan got their lump sums.

Rumor has it if you had a brain you would call the merger commitee and find out, I'll do it for you, hey guess what we are going in with DOH with C&R and fences, how bout that.
Well good for you. Keep pushing a losing position.

When something does not work keep trying.

Real smart.

Yes Dan, I'll give you that, but compared to your peers at other airlines your a laughing stock. especially after everything we have given in the past and were not the ones bankrupt. But hey majority rules.
Now you are saying bankruptcy matters?

You always said that it did not. That us airways about to close the doors had no bearing. There is that situational ethics again.

If we do it will because of guys like you and your group with zero fortitude and afraid to fight.
Keep fighting that losing battle.

I am in for another assessment for the east for the PBGC.

Good thing you are not afraid to keep fighting, damn the facts.

If only you had kept fighting the MOU would have Ben so much better. What oh that's right we would not have gotten it.

Of only you would have fought a little harder us airways would not have gone bankrupt twice and almost closed the doors.

Yes it is all about standing firm and keep fighting. That is the way negotiation work. ( in usapaia)

They're begging for a DFR if they do! LOL!
Kind of puts usapa in a bad spot doesn't it. Not using the Nicolau DFR. Not using DOH DFR from the east.

Demanding DoH when the arbitrator and APA ask for another answer moves the decision further away from usapa.

Now if usapa wants to bargain for DOH using the Nicolau and the APA list. Go for it. But again the arbitrator is not going to appreciate only having a single idea from usapa.

Take your own advice which pertains to the NIC. "losing battle, damn the facts".

I'm afraid your idea is far closer to DOH, than it is to the Nic, or for that matter relative position. Your way would be a windfall for pilots that were furloughed at the time of the merger.

Bean
A pilot that is furloughed is paying the ultimate price for his fellow pilots and should not be used as a freebee stepping stone for another group. His loss saved your job!

But weren't those hired before that furloughed pilot, responsible for creating the job he sought to be hired into? And also responsible for supporting the company that the furloughed pilot hopes to return to?

Exactly. Hope USAPA gets with APA and takes their guys back "whole" with no penalty whatsoever.
