I'm the messenger. The message from West pilots is loud and clear.
It has nothing to do with growing up. It has to do with the injustice USAPA has done to West pilots and their families over the years.
You did not expect hard feelings?
You should be proud of your "collection". The rest of the industry knows the truth about your pilots and their strange opinions.

You consider that professional? We get angry at an injustice by an association bent on the destruction of our careers and we are the scourge of the industry for crying foul.
USAPA is the scourge.
Ah, hello? The West already agreed. 97 % in favor.
That's already been deemed irrelevant.
Sounds more and more like any outrage is again a purely personal problem. You can choose to embrace and live with it for life or not.
"...bent on the destruction of our career..." Poor babies! What terrrible trauma you've truly endured! Heck!... I can almost hear the air raid sirens warning of incoming missles! Perhaps when this is all said and done you "spartans" might wish to seek counseling for your huge burdens of post-traumatic-stress....OR...For as insignificant issues as you've "suffered" here...Well...You could just grow up....Or hold a mighty "spartan" grudge for life...and see if anyone besides yourselves much cares. Your choice.

Prechilil, at this point there is no argument on ripeness, the Judge has declared ripeness, and all I can do is yell , stretch, and flail that it will not survive appeal. My union will do a much better job of appealing ripeness, but at this point it's a done deal. As to the Van guys, their fantasy list is no closer, maybe indeed farther away, than the NIC (if that is possible.) Here is what Silver said (or at least what USAPA said silver said): "The exact claim brought by the West Pilots is: USAPA breached its [duty of fair representation] because it made acontract that abandons a duty to treat the Nicolau award as final andbinding. (Doc. 52 at 13) (emphasis in original). In other words, the West Pilots' claim is that USAPA breached the duty of fair representation when it entered into the MOU because the MOU does not require USAPA use the Nicolau Award in the McCaskill-Bond process."Here is where I see us all: East and West entered into binding arbitration in a process (LOA 96) that required the results to be ratified by the rank in a contract. That "process" only covered the pilots of US Airways, and was ongoing, with no end and no vote, much less a contract on the horizon. A merger came along, with an associated MOU ratified by ALL parties (East, West, APA, USAPA, US, AA, and the UCC) that SAID it had no effect on the LISTS currently in place at US Airways. It was clear to all this agreement was a new T/A that replaced LOA 96 and would eventually lead to a completed contract that included ALL new AMR pilots. The language, intent, and selling of the MOU by USAPA to the pilots was clear..MOU does not equal ANY combined list. Enter the (former?) West class who obviously organized a near unanimous vote in favor of said MOU, including language, and with full knowledge of what it did, and did not do. The success of the West Class going forward is to get Judge Silver to ignore all the above, and accept your trick voting that somehow the MOU completed LOA 96, while at the same time created a new process, instantly. And that that new process was only known and understood by 1200 PHX pilots and LEO legal. The rest of the parties were unaware and voted for the MOU like lambs to the slaughter. "Baa." RR

If it's a personal problem, then multiply it by 1600 x 97%. Then add the untold family members to the eqaution. They care.
