Trader,

No hard feelings from me. It's just the way it is. when you retire the world moves on and it is expected.

All the best,

Bob

Pretty much my preparing for it, in the not-so-truly-distant-future, notions as well Bob. I think the only things I'll really miss are simply the lovely view from higher altitudes, and the honest honor and priviledge it has been/yet is for a time, to work with such fine people as I've met. Many congrats on your successful career and the good sense to enjoy Life afterwards sir. 🙂

That's true. I still think she was talking about a V tail Bonanza with a throw over yoke. Or a Duchess. No, no........a Skipper! That's it, a Skipper!

Gulp! It'd take a superhuman, perhaps even so much as a "spartan" to ever handle any of THOSE mighty beasts! No wonder she was kind enough to warn me about it not being a mere Cessna...like these perhaps? Overly dramatic pups at play: https://www.youtube....h?v=uaPgbBBMQHk

I'd best grovel and beg her mercy and forgiveness now. My only experience with a twin Duchess was limited to a tawdry, two-day affair: "We-love-you-long-time-GI/Give-you-ATP-in-weekend!" encounter. 🙂

Excerpt from PHL update today.

IMHO, this is the current and correct summary of the situation as it stands today.

"In the case before Judge Silver, the Addington Plaintiffs are claiming that USAPA had breached its duty to the West Pilots by failing to include the Nicolau list in the MOU. This, of course, is different than the previous DFR suit; the landscape in this case is entirely different in that there are multiple parties involved in the MOU that were not involved in the original case. In addition, the plaintiffs are seeking a separate seat for themselves in the McCaskill-Bond arbitration process with the APA.

As you know, this MOU was voted on and was considered neutral in respect to seniority. We were informed that we should not vote for or against the MOU based on seniority. This was made perfectly clear and the West pilots voted by a 97% margin to accept this MOU as written, with the clear understanding that the seniority issue would be decided through the McCaskill-Bond process should direct negotiations with the APA fail. From our perspective, to now insist that the Nicalou Award be included in the MOU is ludicrous. We can tell you we have confidence in our position and expect USAPA to prevail in Judge Sliver’s court. We will continue to keep you informed as the process unfolds."

Marty and Cactusboy are sharing the Leonidas cash. Nice scam. Cactusboy shows up here encouraging more donations which Marty kicks back. Unbelievable.

It is actually quite American not to play by the rules. In the revolutionary war we won by hiding behind trees and ambushing the British who wore bright red coats and marched in straight lines.

All the best,

Bob

Yep, and we are picking these seniority thieves off one case at a time.

I'm pretty sure Washington and Jefferson didn't believe in the breaking their word and stealing from their fellow citizens that you endorse.

Let me help you out here, the company is the Redcoats.

Guess again.

"Tories who knew that they would become targets of vengeance when their British protectors left. As they headed for the ships that would take them into exile, they passed silent glares or heard a taunting chant:
“The Tories with their brats and wives
Have fled to save their wretched lives.” While Washington watched and waited, ..." http://www.toriesfig....com/Exiles.htm

"The estate of Farmington was patented in 1744, and was first built upon at some period prior to 1780. At the time of the American Revolution, the Commonwealth of Virginia confiscated the property from owner Francis Jerdone, who was a Tory, because of his political principles."..."It was under Mr. Diver’s ownership that in 1803, Thomas Jefferson drew plans for an addition to the house,..." http://www.farmingto...P=80&DN=HISTORY

"The division into Whig and Tory is founded in the nature of man; the weakly and nerveless, the rich and the corrupt, seeing more safety and accessibility in a strong executive; the healthy, firm, and virtuous, feeling confidence in their physical and moral resources, and willing to part with only so much power as is necessary for their good government; and, therefore, to retain the rest in the hands of the many, the division will substantially be into Whig and Tory." --Thomas Jefferson to Joel Barlow, 1802. ME 10:310

“after So wicked a Conspiracy…by certain Ingrates…declared Traitors to their Country it is the Opinion of this Town that they ought never to be Suffered to return.”
This document links two Boston patriots, Samuel Adams and Nathaniel Barber, over a contentious issue at war’s end – what to do with the Loyalists? The two-part manuscript comprises a 1783 Town of Boston resolve and a corresponding cover letter from the Boston Committee of Correspondence. The letter is signed by chairman Nathaniel Barber, a participant in the Boston Tea Party.

The Boston town resolve was created by a committee of three: Samuel Adams, James Otis, and Joseph Greenleaf.

You guys have missed every time.

You tried with the RICO suit. Fail.
You tried with the ID false accusation. Fail.
You tried with section 29. Fail

We are all still here.

We indeed "missed" the NIC.The RICO suit was successful in that it stopped the bad behavior. Sledgehammer on a gnat, but it worked. The ID theft never happened, and I agree with you, one of the most shameful acts of USAPA, rather Cleary and the CLT reps. But USAPA none the less. Disgraceful. The Section 29, and eventual arbitration in front of the Honorable Ms. Witt brought in over 2M in a matter of weeks, quite the success. To my knowledge, the only pilot fired thus far for non-payment was an East pilot a few months ago, and he deserved it more than any West pilot ever did.And you indeed are all still there, in PHX. Thank you and the things you mentioned are the things that I miss.

All the best,

The sad part is what it cost the guys who started retiring this year and won't see the MOU payraise.

Let's see, the guys who are retiring this year, you mean the ones who have been Captains for the last 20-25 years? The horror, the inhumanity of it all!

Addington - destructive 2 million loss.
9th. Wake Remanded
Nic Award. Years in the rear view mirror, fading fast
Damages-a mirage.
MOU- desperate grab for Nic. It will fail
You are still there, corralled in PHX

I just read the PHL update. What hypocrisy and whining.

Oh you guys we told you were going to have a better union and going to fix all the failures of ALPA.. How did they work out. Complaining that the price dent is not following the rules. You guys never follow the rules why does this surprise you. Complaining that the lawyer told you one thing but you don't like the answer. Complaining that a majority of 6-5 is unfair. But I thought you guys all lived by majority rules. Continually bringing up the same issue multiple times until they get their way.

Bunch of babie.

I found the best part was when they said we were told that the MOU was neutral and the west should have known it.

Next they complain that they were told the officers would be flying and not exempt from the rules. It seems that the union lies a lot.

I find it hilarious that you guys set up a union to avoid the rules and get your way the complain when it that same union avoids the rules and keeps you from getting your way.

Boys you live by the sword you die by the sword. All that bad karma is coming back to you.

You know how the 9th said that ripeness couldn't be contingent on any other events? Well, the DOJ just filed suit to block the merger.
