Maybe they could satisfy the DOJ if they sell the west and a few DC slots to a smaller carrier.

Excellent idea. Start with PHX operation first. Nice move Doug Parker on the Tempe HQ building. GE Capital has trailers available on short notice for the new Camp Tempe.
Commercials, town hall meetings, selling your HQ before approval. Real men of genius.
West pilots wearing APA lanyards while members of USAPA.......

Do the math.

US Airways holds 55 percent of slots at Reagan, the U.S. said in its complaint. The proposed consolidation would increase that percentage to 69 percent, and the combined airline would have a “monopoly” on 63 percent of the nonstop routes out of the airport, according to the government.

What do you think the DoJ would want for the merger. To sell off the west or give up some DCA slots along with those east pilots flying them?

You never answer. You always simply change the subject. But the answer is YES, a DOH seniority list is neutral as long as it has fences and restrictions. But don't get your hopes up. Everyone will just need to settle down and wait for the merger, its coming eventually. But get out your popcorn and stand by, it's going to be a real show in PHX on 24 Sep. RR
Are you serious? You think that a DOH list is seniority neutral? So you think that you can just ignore the T/A in a usapa/LCC contract now?

If so why did we have to wait 6 years for this brilliant idea?

A DOH list is not seniority neutral. C&R are not a list. The Nicolau is a list, am order. You need to go back and read the transcripts from the last hearing. Judge Silver asked Shamanski several times but it is still the list. She gets C&R is still a DOH list.

It may be over by lunch. The MOU approved by both sides covers it all. This latest event is evidence that an MOU is not guaranteed. If no MOU, then no ripeness as well. I have no problem with seeing this drag on deep into 2014.

Let me ask this.

If the merger is off. Can usapa use the same excuse and negotiate a seniority neutral contract between just usapa and LCC?

If not why not?

As far as I see it we are back to Judge Silver's ruling on the company's DJ and I guess we will see how that appeal goes.

One thing to remember in this mess. We are not the ones in BK. AA's plan to exit BK is based on this merger. Absent the merger AA is still stuck in BK with no plan to emerge, On our side if this collapses we will just be back to where we were, separate ops, status quo, and fighting among ourselves...while making money. AA folks on the other hand will have a lot more to worry about. "May you live in interesting times" Ancient Chinese curse.

Wow, didn't see that one coming. Nice to see the department of injustice is as screwed up as the rest of the government. Has anyone heard of a response from APA?

Bean

Really? His "neutral shuffle" worked great because he kept you on bankruptcy wages for as long as you continued to balk at the agreed upon arbitration process & resulting list.

Effective the POR date, we all get the wage immediately. Neutral doesn't work, AND the new company can't benefit from the synergies.

Sorry Bub. APA has said "our" seniority will be done before they touch the AMR-LCC pilot seniority. Parker has said the same. The bankruptcy court has intimated the same.

The MOU time table is very short. You should spend your time on more productive activities, rather than poor prognostication.
Hey BUB, next time you you need to, "COPY IN" the DOJ and the 9th and advise them, I am sure they missed your memo, !

And yet you keep Claxing on (and on, and on, and on, and on...). I'm not reading your drivel. Perhaps the DOH "to the death!" crowd is. What a surprise.

Why don't you stop by PHX next month and watch how Judge Silver conducts the case. It should be educational to say the least.
Can"t wait, Maybe it will WAKE us up all over again!

Yeah, the Plan B at AMR keeps Horton and his standalone plan in play. And all the agreements with the UCC and Labor are predicated on the merger. I guess Judge Lane can still address the pleadings made to him in regards to the merger, but after Thursday he can clear his weekend for a nice holiday with the family. He will not have the pressure of approving the POR for a while.RR

Did you forget what the 9th said already...

You really should not have moved to CLT five years ago. The commute to PHX is giving you way too much time to melt your brain.

Why didn't usapa do that right after the ninth ruled if they can?
