I am sure you will, but excuse me "pain threshold" is at best personal, the NIC aint right, will never be right and effects more than myself, "THE BUCK STOPS HERE" my personal belief is my conviction, sorry We gave, WE gave, We gave and this is your payoff, I am sorry I will die on my one 2 feet than beg on my knee's, take that(well not to the bank) Good Luck, you need to call CG!

It started with their choice of lawyers. After American filed for bankruptcy protection, the creditors interviewed several law firms in a basement ballroom of the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.

"You have to decide whether you are going to be proactive or reactive," Jack Butler, of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, told the committee.

The creditors chose proactive, and Butler's team was hired.

It probably helped that Butler had represented US Airways in its 2002 bankruptcy and Skadden's head of restructuring, Jay M. Goffman, had worked closely with Parker after 9/11, when Parker ran America West. Skadden was also America West's counsel when it later merged with US Airways.

"We said: You should pick a firm that does a lot of deals," Goffman recalled.
The DOJ will make sushi of these morons! You watch!

I wasn't so much against ALPA as I was against the Nic. The same shenanigans repeats itself with USAPA, except the dues are higher. But even the injustice caused by the Nic has a financial pain threshold. Too many have lost too much and will never recover. Not everyone can be 767one. Bob has a tractor and a boat, he obviously managed his finances better than many others- 🙂

I'll be okay in any case, just making an observation.

Howdy,

I just finished painting my tractor, it looks like new but it's 24 years old, the troy built tiller is 21 years old and the boat is 27 years old. I guess I have too much Scot, Irish and Finnish blood in me to get rid of something that looks good and runs good no matter how old it is! Heck I'm even keeping the wife and I've had her over 42 years and she still looks good to me even though I have not had her overhauled!

All the best,

Bob

Touché Bob. Didn't mean to talk about you while your were out of the virtual room.

http://hiepsfinance.com/2013/05/14/the-impact-of-the-american-airlines-us-airways-merger-on-american-airlines-stock-a-curious-case-of-stock-piggy-backing/ Why JACK BUTLER IS SOOOOO UPSET!

I know you hate ALPA, but a dead merger could mean another attempt to return to the mother ship. It's been awhile since 2008. Sentiment may have shifted amongst the rank and file; new hires, third listers and a boat load soon going out the door still on LOA93. How do you think a representational election would go today? Remember, we only won by a few hundred votes back then.

Careful what you wish for.

You continue to astonish me in your lack of perception and current events. First, there is no way you are who I thought you were, but the goal here is not to out folks. But you must live on an island with poor internet to continue to spew this stuff, old news old retoric stuff. Do you really think the West Class is going to vote ALPA back on the property, after they refused to implement the NIC? Do you really think all of us that lost our retirements are going to vote ALPA back on? And is anyone, new hire or not, stupid enought to vote back ALPA with the TWA award trial pending? Heck, Delta is on the verge of a representational election. Your shooting from the hip argument continues to fail. Were you satisified with the USAPA update today? RR

First, until recently I DID live on an island with poor Internet.

Second, take a representational vote if the merger goes down and lets see. I happen to be more against the Nic than I am for friends in high places.

Third, yes, the update was okay, but not a public statement. By the time the union consults with attorneys, anything they release will be ignored.

Fourth, if I am uninformed, consider me part of the 80-90% in the same category.

The West will vote 98% in favor of anything that gets rid of uscaba.

Even if ALPa has to pay the TWA DFR out....and there is an assessment their dues will still be less than uscaba's exhorbinant extortion fees.

We thank you for your support!

After the way we stuck it to ALPA, there is little they would relish more than to have us prostrate ourselves to them again. I've seen pilots make stupid decisions but returning to kiss ALPAs feet would take the cake.
