The routes are coming back! Philly pairings have LAX-PHX and SFO-PHX .

You won't have to wait long. Not too many PSA types remain from the 750 or so from 1988.
A few younger ones remain, but I think you are senior to most of them.

We were both the victims of "Cool Northern Efficiency". What a shame, but that's another Chapter in this soap opera known as USAir(ways).

Just as a bookmark on previous better times, about 500 of the 700 PSA pilots went ahead of me after the DOH merger. Although my classmates and I often made comments about the move back we took on upgrading, rather upgrading to blocks; to a man I never heard one guy complain that it was unfair. DOH is DOH. And the PSA guys never, ever rubbed it in our faces. It was the right thing to do, and we all moved on. In fact, almost to a man, they were a pleasure to fly with. We all knew our time would come, not expecting some upstart entitlement whores in PHX to try and rock the boat. But rock the boat they did, so much so that they stranded themselves on a desert isle. There, my inflammatory hate speech for the evening, with a little good will supporting past DOH mergers here (and that would include PI/U.) RR

How appropriate. You again brag of ignoring others, while posting a main character from Dumb and Dumber doing exactly that, and fail to even realize the inherent irony. 🙂
Ya know if the dumba$$ wanted to ignore everyone it would seem to me that it would just be easier to just not visit this site, right?

This whole situation was brought about by the human instinct of not allowing cutting in line. First come, first serve. DOH makes good fences, thus good neighbors.

The following video will exlplain this in airline terms.

That's totally fair, right? So what's your problem, bub?
Actually, I didn't have a problem with HIS seniority (length of service). But he evidently has a problem with mine....hey, sounds.....well.....LIKE YOU! and he wonders why HIS retirement money is in the toilet.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!

I got the 10-K and Parker's statements. What YOU got? Can't handle the truth Catbus boy and dumbass?

He isn't smart enough to post the "you are on my ignore list. Look at me I'm a virtual ostrich!" posts.

JJ, I envy you and everyone else in this picture, they told alpa to go to hell and showed a large amount of courage to say enough is enough.

Eastern, Pan Am, CAL, TWA, Braniff, Midway, Frontier, etc, thrown under the bus by alpa. You pilots said no more!
Proud of you guys.

Dave & family don't like the facts so they continue the same old arguments to justify Nicolau. Like somehow the "award" is the Ten Commandments engraved in stone. Honor, integrity, ethical, lawful.... Just empty words coming from another AOL mouthpiece. They keep spending money on a failed cause and now the merger is in jeopardy. (I don't mean the game show, Dave). Oh wait....I'm on his ignore list.

No. But we do have 25 year A330 F/Os. Not sure of their LOS. Some have been furloughed more than once and may have significantly less time in service at Airways.

And E of A is tail end Charlie B737 Reserve Captain with over 25 years....what a fricken nightmare!
Hey! Look! I found the ladder you pull up behind you! ALPA has them discounted for current and former members. It works great in your MD-80.

USAPA needs to be on the right side of this issue. The merger and the Nic are two separate efforts. For reasons of past history with the management of LCC and the mutual distrust which exists, the union hard liners may feel it imprudent to endorse the merger at this time, until more is known regarding DP's strategy with the DOJ. I'm referring to possible violations of the Scope clause, which is still in effect and remains so until a POR is executed.

But to use the merger delay as an opportunity to gain leverage in the Nic litigation is a mistake. And if USAPA actually comes out against the merger, then like the permanent injunction, they will render themselves permanently irrelevant going forward. They will simply be circumvented by most of the pilot group who will seek other means to voice support for the merger along with the other employee groups. They will place themselves opposite the APA. Not a good idea going into the M/B process if the DOJ delay is resolved.

The union is at risk of relegating itself to barking from the sidelines. If so, the hard liners need to adopt a new slogan - 'Full Bray to the Last Day!'.

Anyone who believes USAPA has EVER been relevant in this Merger is deluded.

USAPA and all the other participants agreed on an MOU that took all seniority issues aside with a M/B esque process that would have occurred AFTER the now failed merger. It was the West Class and our back stabbing management that strode into the courtroom and did exactly the opposite. I am sure your so called braying "hard liners" (that would be the voting body called the BPR) will appropriately respond to current events. Meanwhile you and the other USAPA haters can join the other jackasses at the union you want to return to, ALPA. RR

I was paying USAPA dues before it began collecting dues. If I want to criticize my union when it embarks upon stupid activity (which you seem to endorse), then the last person to dissuade me from doing so is the resident comic book hero wannabe. The voting body brought us the 'permanent injunction'. The merger is NOT dead. My comment regarding a return to ALPA was rhetorical, hypothetical and obviously over your head. My disdain for the Nic far exceeds my disappointment with ALPA. Look at the faces of many serving (past and present) in the union today, just a different sign on the door.

I'm not a USAPA hater. I just happen to have a built in koolaid detector. Call me Koolaid Killer.

Green with envy? Do you worship Al Capone too?

Look at all those stripes! I'm sure someone can find you a uniform with even more stripes to join your heros.

See if they have one for munchkins.
