All true! Not only income from the PBGC, but military retirements are also included in the company's position that LTD "benefits" are to be reduced by both of these sources of income. By the way, USLessAirways is the ONLY airline who "steals" this retirement income from LTD pilots. What a bunch of "dirtballs", talk about kicking them when they are down!

A company who is willing to treat its LTD pilots in this manner, will come after all of us when they "need" to.

I understand the anger, but I don't think the company is to blame. I could be wrong, but I believe this is part of the contract that was negotiated between the company and union, blame the union. The company and insurance company are just following the policy that was outlined in the contract. Don't get me wrong, the company has pulled some low stuff in the past. I just don't think they are totally to blame in this one.

P.S. I'm not blaming USAPA, that one was on ALPA's watch 🙂

Look at my avitar, on the far right is jack stephan, former alpa mec sell out. Mitch vasolino is in the middle next to jack. See jack run, see jack on mitch's linkeding page. america west mec leader johnny mac, "hey doug the east pilots are slowing down" is on the far left.

alpa trash.

Tell me Clax, what exactly is an avitar?

I have an idea for your avatar.

Please tell me that you're just joking there Bean....? If not, kindly reference this line again: "By the way, USLessAirways is the ONLY airline who "steals" this retirement income from LTD pilots." Note the contained key words = "the ONLY". So why is that the case, and through what possible mechanism would any company with such a policy not be responsible for it?

The retirement benefit "offsets" against LTD income are the result of unilateral changes made by the company, not the result of any negotiation, just another "screw job" by Team Tempe because they thought they could get away with it. USAPA filed and won a grievance against the company for doing so, which is currently in the "remedy" phase of the process of doing away with them. The company is fighting having to pay back that which they have already "stolen" from LTD pilots and in the meantime are still stealing from them for as long as they can. The MOU does away with the offsets as does the AMR contract and EVERY other contract in the industry.

Not joking, just clueless  I didn't understand what you were talking about with the LTD offsets for PBGC and military. I thought you were just refering to another kind of, "other income." Thanks for educating me. Excuse the interruption and please resume the bashing.

As was the magical-midnight-pension-give-away and the absurdly scripted (and hopelessly flawed in even it's most basic language) LOA93. Those just noted for the benefit of those fantasizing any non-merged return to glorious alpo.

Understood Bean, and no offence meant per the "joking" comment. I simply couldn't begin to understand your initial response, which now makes sense.

Good ole Clax, putting it to the west scum, really must be upsetting them, you gotta love it though!!!

Amen, as Zone5 points out with attrition PBGC, etc, our incomes meager with comparison to the other majors will continue to rise. DUI will use the trying to get the merger done that failed(again) and the disruption it caused to the actual running USAIRWAYS as an excuse for continued avoidance of a contract, that with the current meetings of the ASU law club,(MARTY, SILVER, WAKE) absent 9th intervention will drag this well into the next 4 years! As you point out going forward the merger in the packaged form DUI presented is TOAST! What is hilarious if you read the statement carefully put out by the company and DOJ, our boy KNEW MONTHS before the DOJ injunction there was a problem! Spot RR! American Airlines, US Airways, and the U.S. Justice Department said on Wednesday they were open to settling a court fight over whether the two companies should be allowed to merge, but there was no sign of an imminent agreement. The two airlines said in the joint filing with the district court in Washington, D.C., that they had tried to settle the case before the complaint was filed "and continue to believe there ought to be a realistic possibility of settlement."

"they had tried to settle the case" BEFORE THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED" MM!

OK. Let's see where we're going today:
  • Complaints about "our incomes meager with comparison..." - That's on USAPA. You could have had not one but TWO contracts since 2007! CHECK. VERIFIED.
  • Name calling our CEO (your boss that signs your paycheck) in reference to past legal infractions - Poor taste. CHECK. VERIFIED.
  • Blaming our CEO for "avoidance of a contract" - That's on USAPA and its paper chase to evade the Nicolau at ANY & ALL costs. CHECK. VERIFIED.
  • Blaming the West Class Legal team & the Federal District Court Judges for continued delay. That's on USAPA (see above). CHECK. VERIFIED.
Mut, you are as entertaining as ever. Keep up the good work. We'll see where your rants take us later on this year as things progress - except your paycheck.

If Claxon had a job, he could afford to see a doctor and get meds, what we see here is his desperate coping strategy. Before the internet, if you wanted to see a crazy mumbling person, you would have to ride a city bus for a while, now they are out in the open.

I post your videos and I need meds? Face reality. Cap'n Aux and T Bone Anger have their crazed faces all over them.
