Yes, you would be marketable, there is a demand for cherub angel models. Scab.

Oh, I see now why you're so angry. It just came out this evening on the newswire that the DOJ is willing to negotiate with AA and US. The thought of having to take a pay raise and no longer being able to brag that you're a US AIRWAYS pilot (lowest paid in the industry) is just killing you. Buck up Nancy, it might still fall apart 🙂

Well, maybe that and AOL has finished depositions.

Wonder if little ole Claxhole got asked questions he did not like.

That anyone could possibly link that AOL "momentous event" as at all, in any way, shape or form equivalent with the above is necessarily of clinical interest. Care to expand a bit there?

If Claxon had a job, he could afford to see a doctor and get meds, what we see here is his desperate coping strategy. Before the internet, if you wanted to see a crazy mumbling person, you would have to ride a city bus for a while, now they are out in the open.

The new hire I just flew with had no intention of leaving. At 33, he can simply wait us all out, high pay or not. It was an interesting trip, as we talked about women and flying! My normal conversation playbook was of no interest to him. He will outlast all this ugliness by simply staying healthy. RR

True enough! Personally, as an "over sixty' career F/O, just in the last year, I have started receiving my Navy retirement pay, the end of alimony, the PBGC and an "upgrade" to 330 pay (as low as it may be, it still beats anything at AWA) which amounts to about + $60,000 a year. Granted, it's all about me, as it is about all of us who will admit it, it works for me and you can still take the NIC and shove it where the "sun don't shine".

Enjoy the next "few years" banished to the desert boys and girls, by the time you dig yourselves out of that hole, it won't me squat to me. So be it.

That is truly a huge gamble on their part.

If someone on PBGC ends up on LTD, the first question they ask is, "Are you receiving PBGC benefits?" If the answer is yes, that pilot has just given the company a huge gift (which, I am sure, is something he/she always wanted to do.)

All true! Not only income from the PBGC, but military retirements are also included in the company's position that LTD "benefits" are to be reduced by both of these sources of income. By the way, USLessAirways is the ONLY airline who "steals" this retirement income from LTD pilots. What a bunch of "dirtballs", talk about kicking them when they are down!

A company who is willing to treat its LTD pilots in this manner, will come after all of us when they "need" to.

You are so right about this company! You are also way too polite when you call them dirtballs. I have a much lower opinion of them.

Enjoy the raise!

The NIC did not put any of us anywhere. My place on my list keeps creeping up monthly. And nobody gets a raise for a long time. The merger is toast, and we have at least another year of litigation going forward with the West class, maybe longer if Silver continues to contort the law. My family has decided to soldier on, business as usual. Getting our hopes and then seeing them squashed is normal here. And I don't even have to come here and complain about my low wages, you and other apparently well compensated West Class pilots take care of that for me every day here. RR

Let's say the merger fails, which I doubt and APA is not the bargaining agent. Who's to say USAPA continues to be the "union" who represents US? No contract, LOA 93, frustrated third lister's, highest dues in the industry, endless litigation because Leonidas will be here as long as there is a USAPA.

USAPA is not a bargaining agent. It's an agent of evasion. Where's that industry leading contract, RR? Promises, Promises.

I'm reminded of a Usapawatch update from 3 years ago:

"There is nothing like reading a Labor Day message from a union president filled with fear that a competitive organization will use a democratic process to replace our current bargaining agent. It appears that after 2 1/2 years of utter failure, Mr. Cleary recognizes that USAPA’s days are in fact numbered."

Make that 5 and 1/2 years.

Can we say card drive?

“This "anti-raid" clause will strengthen our support against any organization who might seek to dislodge your union for nefarious purposes, including the well-known efforts by the previous bargaining agent who is distraught that your dues money no longer fills their parched coffers.”
-USAPA President Mike Cleary

There is nothing like reading a Labor Day message from a union president filled with fear that a competitive organization will use a democratic process to replace our current bargaining agent. It appears that after 2 1/2 years of utter failure, Mr. Cleary recognizes that USAPA’s days are in fact numbered.
We do not know enough about the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) to judge whether this new alliance will be beneficial to the US Airways pilots. What we do know about the IBT, however, is that they are an actual union committed to the labor movement. They probably would not take kindly to a union president who harbors a known union buster or one that leads with a dictatorial style. The Teamsters are about unity, something USAPA is most definitely not.
Our inside sources have confirmed that Mr. Cleary’s new alliance with the IBT arose out of his need to 1) squash a coming ALPA card drive and 2) use their influence to get to a 30 day cooling off period.
He is truly delusional if he believes either of these tactics will be effective.
Just as the Charlotte representatives recently reminded us in their update that we live in America and any one can sue, we would like to remind them that that same freedom applies to a union representational drive. If a grassroots effort initiates a legal card drive to oust USAPA and the majority of US Airways sign cards, there is nothing USAPA or the IBT can do to stop an election. As much as he would like to, Mr. Cleary cannot escape the reality of the democratic world that exists outside his shame organization. A card drive will arise from the strength of the average line pilot, not an imagined dues hungry boogie man. It should be pointed out that USAPA taxes its members more than any other airline union.
As we stated above, Mr. Cleary believes he can capitalize on the political influence of the Teamsters to get to a 30 day cooling off period. This tactic is probably more laughable than his attempt to block a democratic card drive. The west pilots comprise roughly 40% of the combined pilot group. A substantial number of east pilots choose not to be USAPA members or maintain accounts in bad standing. A strike vote by the Union would be an embarrassing event. Most experts agree that a unity vote north of 95% is needed to successfully petition the NMB. USAPA would be lucky if it could garner a simple majority. There is absolutely nothing the IBT can do for Mr. Cleary to fix this math problem.
When your next dues statement arrives or you write your next assessment check for the investigation du jour, contemplate the sheer amount of your money filling Mr. Cleary’s and Mr. Seham’s parched coffers. They are willing to stop at nothing to ensure that their gravy train never stops rolling.
What we do know is that there will never be a strike under USAPA and Mr. Cleary cannot stop the true power of democracy.

Cleary is nest-building. The colliapse is about to crash down on his head and he has to come up with "Plan B" to keep him in an office, out of the cockpit, and making more money than the line pilots.

    Cleary is as Cleary does....

Every since Bradford left, it has been about cronies and lining the litter box with spoils from the line pilots.

As a former IBT pilot I am ashamed that my former union would associate with a organization like the Third Reich of Charlotte.
From union buster reps to DFR losers, the beast from the east continues it's sole mission to destroy the west pilots and short change the east pilots while err Furher porks out at the trough as the highest paid pilot.
The day of reckoning is coming and the wolf's liar will be stormed by the east and west pilots.

Since his USAPA gravy train derailed, he's been looking for a double-wide at the Jim Jones trailer park. It's a retirement community for Usapians and it's close to the short-bus stop.

He's probably waking up today with one heck of a hangover.

What's in that Kool-Aide, Clax?

Give my sympathies to Mrs Cleary.

Amen, as Zone5 points out with attrition PBGC, etc, our incomes meager with comparison to the other majors will continue to rise. DUI will use the trying to get the merger done that failed(again) and the disruption it caused to the actual running USAIRWAYS as an excuse for continued avoidance of a contract, that with the current meetings of the ASU law club,(MARTY, SILVER, WAKE) absent 9th intervention will drag this well into the next 4 years! As you point out going forward the merger in the packaged form DUI presented is TOAST! What is hilarious if you read the statement carefully put out by the company and DOJ, our boy KNEW MONTHS before the DOJ injunction there was a problem! Spot RR! American Airlines, US Airways, and the U.S. Justice Department said on Wednesday they were open to settling a court fight over whether the two companies should be allowed to merge, but there was no sign of an imminent agreement. The two airlines said in the joint filing with the district court in Washington, D.C., that they had tried to settle the case before the complaint was filed "and continue to believe there ought to be a realistic possibility of settlement."

"they had tried to settle the case" BEFORE THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED" MM!

I do not know the uniform policy of the america west pilots but in the following video you get to see an america west pilot f/o and capt uniform. :28 is mike daley and at 6:22 is eddie chandler, they were scabbing in Australia at the time. Were they wearing the proper uniforms?

I know you west pilots are into pompasass and circumstances and set a good example of pilot uniforms in your video while you were scabbing and recruiting scabs in Australia.

No meltdown. The truth sure is fun when it gets smoked hard up your six when you start calling the eastern group scabs.
I am here to take your pants down with your own videos, quotes and tweets. At your service!
