Not sitting so well on your list Jetz are you....
What part of I gained 1.5% did you miss. I'm pretty much where I was. I gave up a little in career expectations, and I gained in that I work for a stronger entity with a decent contract that will get better in the next round of negotiations. Just like Delta. Even in my current position I out earn east 320 captains. And come January when our big bump kicks in, the distance grows even more. Where I'm sitting will work out just fine in the long run.
And try to wrap your head around the concept that even though my airline was not in bankruptcy, AND was considered by the arbitrators as the stronger one financially, AND with LOS being part of policy, it still only accounted for a weight of 35%. Category and status 65%.
Your merger specifically mentions avoiding the Nicolau mistake. Clearly mentioned. Nicolau got it wrong.
And what did the east do to help Nicolau "get it right?"
Did you suggest a hybrid method?
Did you argue for stove piping seats?
Did you offer to agree that in a future downsize, currently furloughed pilots would be the first to go?
Did you offer a weighting for your LOS?
Would you even considered an outcome like UA/CO considering it was not anything close to DOH?
Did Nicolau warn your Merger Committee that your position should be modified?
Did you come back with ANYTHING else?
Did Katz promise you the pie in the sky?
Was the east interested in making any concessions in career expectations or LOS in order to minimize the damage?
Tell me Clax, what responsibility does the east hold in the outcome of the nicolau award? ANY at all???
Yup... I thought so. Same old excuses and victim mentality. Same garbage you tried to pull on us in 2000. And look where you are now. Pretty pathetic!
