Bottom line is you got a fair merger. Like NWA DAL. Nicolau blew it.
Now the Nicolau is a glaring example, discussed in your merger to be avoided.
The west will never get the Nic. Never.

Nicolau is also quoted in the UAL/CAL integration many times for his insight into disgruntled scabbing malcontents, and their propensity to throw hussy fits of "it's not fair" and "I think I am entitled to more".

What is the only " accepted " seniority list? According to No Nic4 us it is the one the company just shoved back across the table. Rather humorous.
You kids need to stop sending money to Marty.

Lets be fair Luv, even though the West Class is mounting an appeal campaign to the Company, no such ruling from the Company actually exists! No one has seen it! I guess if they don't publish it never happened. CactusBoy does not even give a whit about it, its trivial! RR

No active 17 yr pilots with new hires NoNoNic4us. Jetz conveniently spins that away.
Face it, you kids blew it. Wye River comes back to haunt. Happy Halloween!

" The evolution of ALPA Merger Policy
including, most importantly, the modifications following George Nicolau’s Award in the
America West-US Airway case, is central to the resolution of this case."

The merger policy changed because the US Airways East pilots said no more and kicked alpa's ever loving living ass off the property. All you UAL pilots were treated fairly due to the East's pilots work.

Amen. ALPA knew if they blew it like AWA AAA it was over.

The results of the United seniority arbitration is obviously due to the US Airways East pilots influence.

The is devastating to the west case and I believe the final nail in the nic coffin.

Not sitting so well on your list Jetz are you....

What part of I gained 1.5% did you miss. I'm pretty much where I was. I gave up a little in career expectations, and I gained in that I work for a stronger entity with a decent contract that will get better in the next round of negotiations. Just like Delta. Even in my current position I out earn east 320 captains. And come January when our big bump kicks in, the distance grows even more. Where I'm sitting will work out just fine in the long run.

And try to wrap your head around the concept that even though my airline was not in bankruptcy, AND was considered by the arbitrators as the stronger one financially, AND with LOS being part of policy, it still only accounted for a weight of 35%. Category and status 65%.

Your merger specifically mentions avoiding the Nicolau mistake. Clearly mentioned. Nicolau got it wrong.

And what did the east do to help Nicolau "get it right?"

Did you suggest a hybrid method?

Did you argue for stove piping seats?

Did you offer to agree that in a future downsize, currently furloughed pilots would be the first to go?

Did you offer a weighting for your LOS?

Would you even considered an outcome like UA/CO considering it was not anything close to DOH?

Did Nicolau warn your Merger Committee that your position should be modified?

Did you come back with ANYTHING else?

Did Katz promise you the pie in the sky?

Was the east interested in making any concessions in career expectations or LOS in order to minimize the damage?

Tell me Clax, what responsibility does the east hold in the outcome of the nicolau award? ANY at all???

Yup... I thought so. Same old excuses and victim mentality. Same garbage you tried to pull on us in 2000. And look where you are now. Pretty pathetic!

Absolutely. Even ALPA now admits it blew it. The kids just keep sending cash to Marty. It is like a cult.

Jetz,

Thanks for posting, but it is going to fall on deaf ears.

I will say this though, the West is not going to back down from this fight til uscaba is gone, and I for one appreciate an other airline poster such as yourself coming here and being reasonable.

This endorsement is an insult to you jetz.

Thank the East pilots for your fair merger you hypocrite.

Hussy fit indeed! More like hard work and a willingness to take LESS in order to avoid that illegal award. You finally get your beloved day in court and you shoot yourself in the foot, and Judge Silver blinks and delays the trial even more. RR

Jetz,

Oh I know. I had to deal with these same jackwagons in 2000. Now that life moves on and another binding arbitration is behind us, thought I'd come back and dispel some of the misinformation. I know some of you actually want to know the facts. As for the rest, it's just internet banter and good for some entertainment.

I'm confident you guys will prevail. Good luck!

They will need it, just like you on the Autobahn careening around in the grass like the idiot you are.
