Umm...."The literal kiss of death to 95% of AWA pilots."...? Seriously?: "The literal kiss of death..", followed by an "Amen brother" from another? Whew! I now see how it was ever actually possible for you folks to "heroically" imagine yourselves to be mighty "spartans"...Wow! Folks; you just can't make this kind of "stuff" up. 🙂

Why don't you actually say something for a change?

You had your ratification vote when you voted in the MOU. Once we are under one contract (no subsequent votes) game over. Hello Nic.

Don't fret yourself. Once (if) the POR happens all the signatories of the MOU will abide by its terms.

I see you haven't learned one single damned thing in the last 5 years. In the last 5 years you could have:
1. gotten a law degree
2. Medical degree
3. Masters degree
4. Started your own business
5. Traveled the world
6. Found peace in your life

but noooooooo, you have to post your LOSING arguments here again and again

truly sad you are...you and Trader should become roomates!!

Haven't had a good laugh from the forum in a long time! Nice retort.

Ahh, the hallmark of the former US Air pilot group...."We promise to abide by the terms of our agreement(s)."

Everyone that beleives that stand on your head.

You had all those same opportunities for many more years while uselessair was circling the drain, yet here you are, showing your ignorance, for all to see.

AAviator is yet another (in a long line of West posers) jerk coming here just to stir the pot. Too many familiar phrases and the stench of some of our old flame-baiters that have come and gone here.

There is no logical reason for an American pilot, unless they have a direct tie to AWA, to come here and try and introduce the attitudes (from both East and West) into the mix with our upcoming APA merger.

There is a VERY good chance most of the APA/USAPA seniority issues will be solved without arbitration. Despite Prechilli’s special trips to the airport and ensuing fantasy conversations with West supporting AA guys, I can tell you without a doubt (at the levels of involvement where it counts) this is in fact the goal of our upcoming talks.

I strongly suggest simply ignoring AAviator. The few that pop on here and respond to him/her without reading "its" body of work are starting to make me cringe. They are being played. Don't waste your time or energy on this "clown." I won't be.

"Clown." Where have I heard that before? (other than in the 3[sup]rd[/sup] grade, but I digress…..)

Greeter

Stirring the pot is all that's left to do while we wait for the Nic to be implemented and the ultimate easthole meltdown to begin.

The east just likes to think they can move the goalposts back every time the opposition threatens their entitlement. So tiresome. The amount of twisting they have to do every day to try to convince themselves that they are entitled to whatever the hell they want. I'm sure if some of the posters here still had a conscience it would bother them. Evidently not

None of them have a conscience. They are all sociopaths.

I don't care who AAviator is. This forum is populated by anonymous posters (except for the few who have disclosed their identity). Don't get me started on USAPA's failure to establish a website where no one hides behind avatars. If a post piques my interest then I respond to it. The poster could be the seventh iteration of Joey Butafucco for all I care. USAPA had the chance to have a forum exclusively for our pilots where these issues could be hashed out with moderator oversight and without anonymity. This is the consequence of not doing so. In that regard, ALPA did better and hopefully APA will also.

I'm encouraged to hear that mutual negotiations will be given serious effort.

You can go to cactuspilot.org for the web board without anonymity. Nothing gets hashed out there either becaues the east is unwilling to let go of DOH.

Either the judge or Parker will settle this prior to the POR and it will finally be over.

Sure, AWA was the meteoric airline... its obvious. Parker is the heir apparent to the worlds largest airline and he negotiated his way to that position from the small little dusty airline that couldn't be held back. Parker is brilliant and all pilots on the East and all AA pilots can't deny Parker his due.

Problem for you is that you guys are the smallest group in a democracy and don't share any of Parker's negotiating skill or leverage.

Clown (for old times sake  )

Yep, and our democracy required us to negotiate and ultimately go to arbitration. Reneging on your agreement and using the power of the majority to circumvent due process is not democracy, it's scullduggery.

Yeah, good idea. Maybe I'll go have a look see 🙂

Ripe, huh.

Pilots are SUCKERS! Look who really gets the pay raise.

The airlines have not announced specific plans for changes in their networks or operations that would occur if the combination is consummated, but the airlines' conservatively estimate that the merger will result in $1.4 billion in annual benefits to shareholders of the new airline as outlined in table 1. $1.4 BILLION in profit....for shareholders.

Pilots are SUCKERS!

Bob, APA turned down LBFO 1 as its known to approve LBFO 2 a short while later. The LCC angle added 87 million?/yr to the pot. We had a very good deal absent the LCC merger. In fact, in the history of airline bankruptcies, APA and the AA pilots hit this one out of the park. Pension was frozen and converted to a 14% DC equivalent.

I've read your posts in the past. Your position surprises me. It is totally inaccurate. LBFO= Last best Final Offer
Guess my point is although I expressed it badly...until you are living that contract it really is nothing but a piece of paper. USAirways management has tended to "interpret" the heck out of our contract since before the 2 BK's.
The problem over the nic/doh should have been decided years ago.....management could have taken a stand and the courts could have been more decisive but to quote Rakesh Gangwal "we are where we are". Sad but true.

All the best,

Bob, captain of the Belaurus (tractor) and the jon boat.
