However, US Airways management apparently went too far by later demanding a two-tier, or B Scale system, by imposing pay and benefits on all new hires that would essentially match those of Pinnacle’s pilots. http://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/2013-07-15/eagle-pilots-reject-us-airways-jet-ultimatum

Went too far? This is how America West mgt. operates. No underhanded ploy is too far.
The frat boys need the bonus monies.
Besides, the west operation is at the ready to willingly fill in.

Hmmm. 370 words vs. 270 pages... I guess Scamanski is getting paid by the letter now as well. Hopefully he doesn't rob the East of another 2 million dollars like their first scumbag lawyer did.

Real parties in interest Don Addington, John Bostic, Mark Burman, AfshinIranpour, Roger Velez, Steve Wargocki, Michael J. Soha; Rodney Albert Brackin;and George Maliga, oppose the motion for stay of district court proceedings filed byUS Airline Pilots Association (“USAPA&rdquo😉.

Quite simply, USAPA is making a vain effort to impede the efforts ofPlaintiffs Addington, et al. from obtaining a judicial ruling that USAPA is illegallyevading its duty to implement a five-year old arbitrated seniority list that all hadagreed would be final and binding. USAPA knows it has no legitimate reason forits actions. Rather, it is acting solely to satisfy the demands of an oppressivemajority.

In this latest effort to delay justice, USAPA moved for an “emergency” orderto stay the District Court proceedings. USAPA did so on the eve of when itsofficers will have to explain their actions at deposition. If USAPA was sincere inits desire to conserve costs, it would not have delayed its motion, as it did, untilafter it subjected the class representatives to fifteen depositions that had little to nobearing on the merits of the claims. The timing of USAPA’s motion, therefore, istelling.

Nobody outside our crew rooms could give a whit about our seniority fight, other than Dawn G. and Ted R. trying to corner the media on trivial union reporting. For the second time today a West Class poster has indicated that there is some scandal that on the “weekend eve” of the USAPA Officers being deposed that they would “dare” to fight back with the filing in the Ninth. Such power and political maneuvering exists? As usual, me thinks there is WAY too much complaining. If it were truly politically advantageous to the West Class that this travesty of justice occur, why would any of them complain so much? RR

Not exactly a fair attack (and certainly juvenile), my A330 "Supreme & Experienced FO" - Denverite friend.
Thanks for the compliment, however, fair and juvenile are a couple of topics you boys need to think about. As I mentioned before, the word "scab" is not a nice word at all, but you boys seem to like to use it all the time. Clean that up, and we can start to talk "fair and non-juvenile". Too bad you are stuck in the position of representing the West pilots. You are required to uphold a bag of crap, otherwise, I think you might have a good sense of fairness and a good heart. breeze

Hey, anybody know whether or not the MDA pilots have had to pay on that grievance they lost years ago?
mitch vasolino (former alpa 2003 hire phx f/o rep) asked doug parker about that in a phx crew meeting, parker rolled his eyes when he heard that. parker also rolled his eyes in the phx meeting when former alpa awa mec leader, johny mac, accused East pilots of slowing down airline operations, during a phx pilot meeting.

Including scabbing your co-workers jobs.

Nic, I was one of the UAL 570 back in early 1985. You were probably in middle school. UAL trained me, and over 500 F/Es and F/Os, and called us all to work on the eve of a strike by the UAL pilots. All but a few scabs got on the ALPA bus instead of the UAL bus. For all intents we gave up an airline job to do the right thing. In my case, ALPA offered me strike pay to be voluntarily offset by other income. I had no problem getting an AF reserve paycheck, and tore up the checks. Does that make me a "scab?" No. Does that especially make you an a..hole for calling me a scab? Without a doubt. ALPA later took all the scabs and over 450 good guys hired after me and reordered the seniority list, after ratification, to return us to our rightful “seniority.” The scabs sued, won in Federal Court, won in Appeals Court, and LOST at SCOTUS. You cannot and will not (to quote my old friend Walmart) put a 17 year pilot below a new hire. The sooner you understand that, the sooner we move forward. Your airline was founded on scabs, and that by no means makes YOU a scab. But be careful with that word. Despite misuse here, it is defined very carefully, and you using it otherwise makes you the lessor man. RR

In 1985 I was flying a corporate CE550 And occasionally crewed a Saberliner.

I do not think you understand the West position. We are not moving on with anything involving usapa.

When you quit talking down to me, and realize your effed up entitlement attitude is nothing more than a rationalization of why it is okay for you to steal somebody elses job, then we still ain't moving on, because frankly, you jack wagons are so full of yourselves nobody wants anything to do with you.

Nic....like I told you at least a year ago, when you call us scabs we stop listening and see you as the lowlife that you are, therefore you are talked down to. Maybe CB can teach you how to communicate. breeze

Yeah....We're all about overdue for yet more mature and enlightened "This is Sparta!" stuff, perhaps even with additionally "heroic" movie extracts of how "King Leonidas dispatches a cupcake" to again "prove" cboy's point. 🙂

Well then!!!...Who could possibly fail to be anything other than completely awestruck by that!...? 😉

When I was ten my uncle let me occasionaly sit at the controls of his business jet. Can I claim credit for being a corporate crew puppy?
