The biggest problem I see with the up coming elections is that the people are expecting who ever gets elected to be able to fix the problems we are facing with little discomfort for us. The reality of it is that the quicker we want it fixed the more painful it will be.

The people are not willing to suffer and the politicians are not willing to tell the people that they are delusional. The down ward spiral will continue.

The original joke IS about George. Lacking sense of humor themselves, the Repubs have to steal all our good jokes and turn them around.

As we go into the Fall, let's ALL try to keep in mind what Mark Twain said over 100 years ago...

"Suppose you had a politician. Now, suppose he was a crook. Ah, but I repeat myself." (Note that Mr. Twain did not mention a particular political party.)
