From the Medical journals I've read its not remote chance. Its when.
Pandemics are not remote. They do happen, and nations need to prepare. Viruses mutate. I read that an 11 year old in Asia acquired it from a bird pet and almost died drowning in her own fluids. Its a rapid spread, mortality high 5-7 days after symptomatic.
Its a matter of time before the virus mutates bird to human to human.
