Bob is not anti union, he is anti TWU as are many of us at AA because of twenty + years of concessionary contracts.

Yes you need a union especailly in the airline industry, but the TWU is the worst of the lot, They have proven to be nothing more than an extension of the CompAAny over at AA and care only about dues flow. They are NOT pro labor, They are pro Company and will sell you out at every contract.

If you still insist on having them as a bargaining agent then be prepared to bend over time after time!

As Ive said so many times before you should go union, just not TWU because the TWU is a company union,and that company is AA.

By the way did you hear who will be your Union Boss? Guess what? You wont get a ballott and his name is Connely, he comes from AA. Thats right, your International Rep, that is appointed, so much for having a voice, is coming from American Airlines, Just like Jim Little, who comes from AA management.

Whats with you? Why do you want the TWU instead of a real union? I guess they promised you an International spot if you help get the union in and none of the other unions pay their officials as well as the TWU. Thats right push in this company union and you too can get a nice six figure salary. The hell with whats best for your coworkers though right?

Sounds like you work for the TWU. Probably running scared that Mr Owens is educating the CO workers about what's wrong with the TWU. B)

All you have to do is type "Bob Owens" and TWU into Google and you get dozens of items discussing his former role as Treasurer for his NYC local (until the TWU removed him in a Kangaroo Court proceeding because of his interest in AMFA). You also get dozens of news stories describing him as a JFK-based AA mechanic.
