You're posting 2-3 times for everything I respond with, so I'd say you're the one whipped up into a frenzy.
Wasn't fired, wasn't laid off, wasn't replaced. Doubled my compensation by leaving, and still quite happily employed by a profitable airline.
Do keep trying, though.
I have thoughts that come up after I responded so I come back and add them after the fact. If I Edit ✍️ you may miss something.
I found this from July 2, 2020 I hope you don’t consider it to be rude. Totally not my intention. Honestly congratulations. 11 out of 11 Airline jobs is something to be proud of. I’ve only been with the one but have moved to where I finally think is the Station I’ll stay at till I retire.
“ Tuesday ended the latest re-org round at United -- management levels 1 (MD) thru 3 (Sr. Mgr) have now been set.
Since March, it looks like 8 VP's, 16 MD's, 30 directors, ~120 senior managers, ~200 senior analysts/managers, analysts, and ~375 specialists/supervisors have retired or left the company, plus ~2600 support staff that worked essentially entry level non-union jobs.
Involuntary cuts for Levels 4 thru 9 get announced in about two weeks. Everyone remains on payroll thru September.
(I kept my same position... #survivor2020 )”
And on the History comment you made earlier I agree. But many times people who’ve lived that History make up their own interpretations based on their personal experiences. I started listening to the Kev Podcast but I don’t like music 🎶 being included that’s meant to illicit an emotion from me. That’s probably why I enjoyed Charlie Rose and BBC’s Hardball.
Oh and on your Pension post I hope you got the information that our Pension has moved to Fidelity. When I retire it’s going to be a lot easier to draw out now than having to jump through hoops.
